Welcome! This is my very first art thread on which I'll occasionally post some pieces of art I created. Jep, I decided to rename the title and rewrite this so that I'll upload most art on this first post to save you some scrolling)  :D Enjoy! Newest on the top

Not bad for a new artist, you just need more anatomy practice. Try using proper construction technique, like basing a head on a circle and working out from there. There's plenty of howto's when drawing in the Groening style out there.

Yes, it's a nice start,  Eternium :)  I like your colour choices and the pose of your character.

P.S.  Your drawing is far, far better than I have ever done or could do.  So keep up the great work!

Thanks:D I'll look up some tutorials, I've never really tried ot with them... I just start with drawing basic lines for the body and positions.

This and this offer character breakdowns, so you can see how the character proportions work in the Futurama universe!

Good start, and with practice, I know you'll be even more amazing!

That's the unique thing about Groening's style, is that everything is measured by eyes.

Impressive for a newbie artist, I was gonna suggest line work and looking at objects as shapes to create 'frame work' (very much how Freako has shown for the design sheets for the characters there). Great start

Nice art! and hey! practice makes everything perfect! (also references, lots and lots of framegrabs) I have the feeling you're gonna get better! but at the moment you're really good with your art, your character's design is very lovely. Also you have a very fun imagination! (personally I liked that Fry wearning glasses :D)

Keep up the good job! I'm very interested in your art (also the fact that you use photoshop gets me,because that program hates me,ugh...)

Freako's given the proper method of drawing characters, which is awesome and probably the way you should draw.

I cheat. I present to you the cheat way:

I use an ancient program on an ancient computer - I'm sure it would be similair in ways of layers and tools. All you really need is a pen tool anyway.

Ah yes, but the pen tool is like the most annoying tool in all of photoshop... It does make nicely curved lines tough:) Thanks! ^^
