So, I can finally comment on your video:)
Again. my usual "things you should keep" and "things you should change" two parter.
First:
You really have a good hand to find the fitting scenes for the fitting music. What impressed me most is how you went for both levels:
Music/Rythm AND Sung Words.
e.g. Leela floatin in space: When the word "see" is heard, Leela looks at the coffin.
At the words "open doors", she opens them.
Or Leela opening her eye to "wake up".
Or the silence when Fry flied into the Bee hive, and the loud sound
when the Bee horde follows.
Etc, etc, etc...
Your timing is really great. Like a single note being the launch signal for a certain event.
Now for the "Things you might chance":
I must admit I am not too fond of the original music videos life action sequence.
Not because it features real scenes. Most music videos take turns by showing the vids story and band shots. Yet, these two settings take their turns. When you do e.g. 20 seconds Futurama, 10 seconds band, etc.., it will appear more like a traditional music video, instead of "1 big Futurama block, 1 big band shot block, 1 big Futurama block"
If you want to cut the live action sequences, there are some scene Sting scenes you haven't used yet:
- The funeral audience (Leela crying, Fry's Exes, etc... )
- Fry being "resurrected" by the honey
- Those scenes in which Fry tells Leela to wake up, she gets suspicious/fears
to wake up.
One last suggestion:
In the end, when Leela is talking to Fry's picture: Maybe you might contemplate trying to get a "save me" at that position when Leela is moving here mouth (it's basically nearly the same what she said in the episode, after all)
And..as per the usual...my post once again looks like I have much more
to complain than to praise. You know that's not the case, right?
