Nobody seemed to notice this last time I posted it, so I'll repost.

That might be because you posted it in Demeter's thread. wink

Anyway, I know little of TF2, but shall commend you for your successful project nonetheless.

Yeah, it's meant to be a fluffy fox thing. Nothing special, just cute.

Indeed. Are its stripes and such meant to be bioluminescent? Even if not, they look cool.

Haha, that was silly of me.  laff The title was a bit vague so I thought it was the General Art one. tongue

Anyway, thanks.

Spiffing signature, Unreal. Mighty spiffing. You always do an amazing job of cleaning this stuff up and putting it together. big grin Whatever happened to you posting stuff like this in your art thread? I recall the days of yore, when cleaned up screen caps were considered art! Surely the nerds would still come to that field of dreams if you would but give it to us.

Thanks Zoidy.  big grin

I still do this kind of stuff from time to time when I get ideas. I kind of lost interest in the DVD covers thing, but I might pick it up again at some point.

I might make a signature based on one of the Season 7 previews pretty soon, since I really need to find something to do with my spare time (which I seem to have way too much of.)

Neat work RS. smile
Certainly you've got more skill and patience than I ever had when it came to modelling. My BF109 ended up being a basic shape with no canopy, no undercarriage and a horrible colour-scheme of dark green and super glue. tongue

I made a flash animation. It's nothing amazing, but I'm really proud of it. It's someone else's character, I like the colours of it and my characters usually have too many features that I don't want to animate.

I don't know if this picture has worked or not. But here's my first attempt to draw Fry, I know his mouth look's a bit weird. But like I said it's my first drawing of Fry.

Edit: I've finally fixed the picture thank to Tweek and InquisitorHein smile

As I helped you a bit to put it online, I feel the need/obligation to also offer some constructive and supportive criticism wink

So, about the positive aspects first:

- The emotion/expression works great.
- Your lines are stable. As I once explained: When drawing in a concentrated way, lines are easily subject to be drawn very slow, and therefore becoming frickled. This does not happen on that picture.

So, so much about the positive aspects, but -as we all wish to learn something here- now for the "things you might change" wink

- The proportions are a little off. The head seems a bit too long around the mouth, and the forehead/hair a bit too short (though I am not sure if this is just the pics perspective).
Anyway: The Futurama DVDs feature tuturials howtodrawthisorthat character. Their major advantage are pre-sketched, based on simple geometrical figures. These objects are a HUGE help to get the proportions right. In fact, it's nigh impossible to get the proportions NOT right with these sketches smile

Okay, once again, the "things you should change" text is a bit longer, making my post look like I have more to complain than to support/encourage. That's of course NOT the case smile

For a first time drawing a characters, this image is in fact quite good.

@ InquisitorHein It's fine, I want as much feedback as possible. Even if it is telling me what I need to do to make it better. Thank you for your feedback, I will remember this. I did realise that I made the mouth look deformed and the hair weird, I'll try and make them better next time. smile

@Tweek Thank you, but I'm sure you could do better.

Nice job, Lauren, especially for a first try!  I envy the results of the many great artists on Peel, but not the hours of frustration and re-work and self-doubt smile

If it's any consolation I use the guidelines for Fry all the time and I still fuck his face up pretty good. Fabulous beginning to your Futurama fan art career, lauren. I do agree that his mouth is a bit long and that his hair line is too close to his eyes.

Please do! I personally think she's a little easier to draw, and you might find her to be easier as well. smile And please do share it with us! We love seeing everyone's work.
