I'm pretty sure that there are other sites (The Futurama Madhouse, for example) where you can post comics and have them read properly. That would probably be better than sticking all the images into one thread on PEEL. You could post a link to it in the comments thread for the comic, so that people would be able to go see it, and make posts to say "here is the link, I have added x new pages today". I really don't think that two seperate threads on PEEL is the best way to accomplish what you want (especially since you know people are liable to comment in the other thread just to be dicks. In fact I'm tempted to. Not to be a dick so much as to illustrate my point). Ultimately, the decision will rest with the moderating team here as to whether this thread is merged with the other, but I dunno if they're going to be happy about a ton of extra work keeping the other one clean if people decide to spam it, or comment there for whatever they might feel is a cromulent reason.

So, the answer is a bit late, but better than never;) Well I love the art as usual. Plenty of detail, Planet Amazonia is really nailed!...
Yep, I like details Glad you like Amazonia so far, I am usually not the Jungle drawer. (In fact, I cannot even remember having to draw a jungle in a comic before, letting that one image in the "Scruffy vs Amazonians" cartoon aside.) Agreed. Those tiny details really make your work shine. I'm really interested to see how you would draw an old fellow's wrinkles. The characters also look astonishing! Keep it up.
Well...in the "wedding cartoon", you could see an old fellow by now. (Though he was not drawn exclusively for that purpose ). I must admit I was careful regarding the kid Amazonian's design: There was no way I would have the half-naked appearance and the raunchy jokes following the adult Amazonians on little kids. On the other hand, completely dressed would not make them look like Amazonians any more, so this was/is the compromise I considere acceptable. (Even at the expense of Ornik wearing some kind of Lisa Simpson Dress Btw..I initally planned her with much shorter hair, but that spiky head apperance really would have rendered her a black Lisa Simpson )

Yep, 14 days without a cartoon, I have been lazy. Anyway, a little update on "30" and a premiere I wanted to share: The early beginning of another A2 detail painting. The premier is that this pic features two vanishing points, with one of them being out of the A2 sheet. So, I had to add an A4 sheet to have said fixed vanishing point. Okay, it does look anything but special right now, of course, but the beginning of my first comic image for which even A2 is too small is just something I wanted to share
The picture will show an abandoned city. A mixture of Dratan from the MMORPG "Last Chaos", the present day "National Monument" style (independent of the nation, these things usually share certain traits), incorporated with aztec elements).
PS: You probably would not have guessed, but I plan this pic to be really detailed

So, I finished the intro chapter of "30" (The next chapter will play in the present, with the trio taking over), I would like to post some final thoughts about certain aspects of the comic: (And of course I would appreciate other folks to post THEIR opinon here )
Overall, the chapter is some kind of "cold opening". Used as a setup, about the same way Elisabeth Swan found the Aztec Amulet in the beginning of "Pirates". Not too much of a plot, but necessary details that have to be used later in the story. Basically, I wanted to raise the following questions: - What is that lost city in Amazonia ? - Who built it ? - Why did the Guardian statues automatically protect the young Amazonians ? - Why did one of them give the kids his medaillon, and what is it for? (The most important question, for that thing will be very important...and of course fall into the hand of three people with together five eyes who hardly ever create any mess... :P ) So, I'll just do a commentary about certain page details and reasons why I set up the story that way: Page 1: Kug chasing after a butterfly seemed a normal distraction for a little girl, but of course this one also covers the trope "A butterfly's wingbeat can cause a storm". Page 3: The snake Joke was just some random sillyness. I wanted to show the audience that the Amazonians -even as kids- are capable of defending themselves. To show that the "Amazonian Devil" showed later did not chase them away because they were kids, but because it is a real tough and strong bastard. One that even adult Amazonians will avoid. Page 4: The runes on the monolith are a REAL alphabet. Page 5: Yep, what Thog says in the first pic is REALLY written on the monolith (expect for one spelling mistake I was too lazy to correct ) Page 6: Again, random sillyness. The "Bad Animal, Bad" reminded me of Eric Cartman, and I just wanted to have him as a cameo. Page 7: "Amazonian Devil". As stated before: I stole that one from the "Catachen Devil" from the Warhammer Universe. Hinting that Amazonia might be known in the year 40.000 (when Warhammer 40K will take place) as "Catachan". An insider joke for Warhammer Fans, of course. Page 8: I must say, the "Bad Amazonian Centipede, Bad" "Dis sounds like critique to bad fanfic 'bout a Mad doctor and dree Amazonians" was one thing about which I wondered wether I did cross the line. I wanted to have an even more pointless "Human Centipede" reference than in South Parks "The Human Centipad" (which I considered REALLY random ). But -having little girls refer to that horror movie, even though they just speak a few words- somehow crossed a line for me. Strange, but true... Page 9: The Guardian Statues shoulder pads were subject to changes in the later pictures. Found that out too late, and was too lazy to correct that mistake. Page 10: I will occasionally keep the non-rectangular page layout for action oriented scenes. Page 11-14: One of those pages I did on A2. Perspective rules on the city took forever. I wanted to incorporate three style: Antique (Greek/Roman) with Aztec. With some elements as you will find them on European national monuments. Page 16: My first pic that was not really detailed, but I was in fact yet happy with. Hooray Page 17: The same tree bridge as in Page 2. I managed to keep most details in position Page 18: First, I wanted to show just the legs of Kugs mother, about the same way as the housewife is shown in "Tom and Jerry" cartoons, telling Tom not to cause any mess. Yet, this would not have allowed a credible layout for Thog and Ornik putting Kug back into her mother's arms, and also hiding the found/given medaillon the same time. So, those are my final thoughts about the intro chapter, the next one will then play in the usual Futurama setting. As this does not require a setup any more, the action will most directly start...

Like has already been said, the detail is amazing. And I laughed at the "Bad Predator" joke, and I loved the Aliens-inspired creature projectile from that centipede's mouth. The rest of if also reminds me of something else, but it's not coming to me. Were you inspired by another famous sci-fi creature? I chuckled at glowering Amy, Munda, and LaBarbara at the mall, in one of the last panels. And of course, seeing Fry and Leela together in bed.... There is definitely a retro vibe to your style, which is really strong in the Amazonians. And you know I love me some old-timey kajiggers.

Thanks:) The "Amazonian Devil" was basically ripped off from an "Catachan Devil" from the "Warhammer 40k" universe. The "Catachan Devil" again is a Tyranid Variant, with Tyranids beeing the equivalent of the Giger Aliens/Starship Trooper Bugs (just at home in the Warhammer 40K universe). Some of my Tyranid miniatures, their design traits basically fathered the "Amazonian Devil": (It's also these buggers fault when there is a delay in comic updates, as it is happening right now. That means I am more in the mood to paint tabletop miniatures instead of drawing Futurama cartoons ) I chuckled at glowering Amy, Munda, and LaBarbara at the mall, in one of the last panels. Yep, showing them as couple seemd particularily popular with the ladies for some reason (Though I will not guarantee they do stay together during that comic ) There is definitely a retro vibe to your style, which is really strong in the Amazonians. And you know I love me some old-timey kajiggers.
Hehe..funny you mention a retro vibe. My major influences are all based on relatively modern comics

Hm...I guess I see now where you are coming from:
As kids, the Amazonians have bigger eyes than the adults. (Means: Rounder, more bulging). Female eyes in modern cartoons usually lean more towards the realistic side (as they allow a more detailed/better looking eyelash structure). Yet those round, bulging eyes with eyelashes are a common style element of old cartoons (Betty Boop maybe the most famous example.)

In relation to your most recent comic update: Lol, nice meme placement. ;D ... I wish I had more to say. I'd love to say 'nice detail' but you always have nice detail xD
Thanks:) The background meme was basically that kind of random shenanigan characteristic for French U-Comix. (Similar to the "walk on eggshell" scene before). About details: Well, page 26 will be a bit different. Rather blank, dialogs, and just the character's heads. I feel kinda bad about drawing that... Something I'm learning
You're getting there:) I love the art style of everything you do. It makes the futurama universe much more serious ...
@HighAsFry>Thanks:) Always nice to see new commenters in my threads. Yep, I contemplated about going for Groening style. But then I prefered to take my own style. Partly because I was curious if it would work at all. About the comic's setting: Again, French influence, this time the Franco-Belgian Fantasy scene. Somewhere between serious fantasy and parody. Who killed Kenny
The 50 feet Communist Jewish Space Nazi Zombies did it... (I jokingly mentioned them in a Discworld crossover cartoon. But...the more time passes..the more I want to have them as villains in a cartoon/comic Design wise, they did not turn out acceptable so far, I am afraid...) So, hoping to get three more pages done over the weekend...

I love the various cameos you inserted there, especially the creepy Simpsons military dude and "random Pac-Man." also like the reference of Bender using Fry to break a glass (what ep is that from? I remember the scene somewhat but not the ep). Your drawings are amazing as usual, Prof. Hein.
Thanks:) As stated before: That kind of random cameos is typical for the French U-Comic, where I picked that kind of joke up. They often went for the approach "If you gotta make it random , make it REALLY random". Sometimes in way even Monty Python would have said "Erm..this is getting a little too silly right now" About Fry's usage as a battering ram: I did not really mean to reference a specific episode, just a "Bender made up a stupid plan, and managed to cause as much damage as possible that way" It was from the third futurama movie benders game. BTW i love how fry has a detached retina... is he ever going to pop that thing back in?
About the scene reference see above Also, Bender using Fry as "battering ram" allowed me to speed up the scene. Fry blacked out, woke up, and Bender told him what happened. Bender blackmailing the mall would have taken too long imhO. About "putting the eye back in": Well...the cover depicts "Indiana Fry" with his normal face again. So, yep, sooner or later it will happen:) But yeah, who couldn't see that Bender was going to blame it all on Fry and split? Is there a chase sequence all the way back to the PE Building now, Herr Hein?
I must admit I will go for some jokes probably no one will see coming. But this scene just SCREAMED for a classic Bender behaviour About your question wether there is a chase sequence NOW: Nope, I will switch to another character in the next pages. Cliffhangers are fun (at least for the author), and should not be solved too early But let us just say: With the action, Fry and Bender set much graver things in motion than just a chasing, angry crowd
