This is something you totally should do.

And this is what you should totally NOT do.

Mutual respect is very important for me. Fanart should be done for fun, not to create some ranking or competition. And it's up to absolutely no one to call another one's fanart (in which (s)he invested his/her heartblood) crappy.

To cut a long story short:
Go to the drawing board, draw something, post it

Is also my favorite part. Contemplated about showing Fry/Bender/Leela minion holding a control stick (mirroring the banana battle) when fighting over the captain seat. Decided against it, as they could not really stand in a circle behind the control console.

Okay, if you feel so sorry for Fry, he may do some breaking himself in a second deleted scene from "Leela and the Genestalk"



(The cartoon was basically a rush job of 1,5 - 2h. So, it's not quite as careful as most others).

I hardly spend much time on shading, it's usually a rush job.

Really? You probably got so used to your style of shading so you can just do it easily now. You really have an amazing style in art. It's cool how you make them so realistic, yet still keep some of the characteristics cartoon related

Yep. When designing that pic, I noticed it would not work to well with three characters jumping up, the layout looked better with the middle person seated.
Of course, some lazy "I do not really care and therefore will not stand up" attitude was a perfect fit for Fry. So he was the one not minding the firing too much. Yet, the seated character had to deliver some little gag. And -with Leela standing and Fry sitting- it was obvious were his eye level was, and the "finding a more interesting view" further legitimated his uncaring attitude towards the job loss.

Well..one month without any finished pictures (couldn't get my ass up to do some drawing when I had that infected wisdom tooth surgery wound).

Anyway: At least 3 WIP/preview pics for "30", from the next 8 pages.

When last seen in "30", Bender was the punching bag. He is finally fed up with that and decides to dish out something himself:

A little WIP panel for "30" (mostly a "Bad conscience image" for not having posted anything since the middle of October).
Must admit that I am right now a bit frustrated: Every page I draw for "30" seems to be less detailed and elaborately laid out than the previous one...

Well....maybe the next pages will be some "turnaround"

Yet, as I already made no Halloween, neither a Christmas nor a New Year cartoon, I decided I have to draw at last a quick shenanigan for Valentine's Day.

yep, it has been a long time since I updated "30". I should not work on 12 pages at the same time....
Anyway....a WIP image of the NNY opera building, with two little gags. One should be rather obvious, but the other will probably only be recognised by folks about my age:

Wow, that's pretty detailed!    How big is the original drawing?

The image (building without the dome) is just 12*20 cm.
Later in the comic, a larger (and more detailed) version of the building will follow (that will make use of two vanishing points).
