Howdy Guyses and Galses (in that order :p)
Some time ago, I used to do a few parody comics on Disney's Gargoyles, Star Wars, and (latest ones), that tabletop Games Warhammer and Warmachine.
For this, I developed my own drawing style.

So I wondered how the Futurama protagonists would look like if drew them my style,
without adapting to Groenings style at all (okay...sorry, one exeception. I also drew them with four fingers instead of five, as I usually do with humans...)
I set myself the rule of 20 minutes drawing time, no second more...

Anyway, to cut a long story short, here's the result to insult your eyes:)

Is this is supposed to be funny ? Really, I find this drawing funny, but in a good way.
Nice job. Also, Leela's bust looks.. Erm, really blossomy.

Funny? Hm...well, the image does not contain a joke itself. But it's a style I do use for funny cartoons.

And Bender is floating in mid-air!

I really like it, although Fry looks a little funky to me, probably because his facial structure is so defined and pointed. And maybe his eyes. But I like it. And the fact that Fry is playing Pac-Man.

Already commented it in the other board...
But yes, it looks fine, and has a touch of manga.
As Smarty pointed it out, is it robot 1-B or does Bender want to keep on track with robot 1-X ? ;)

I don't like the way you've done Fry. It's.... well, not Fry. The others are good though.

Okay, thanks for the feedback:)
I've been thinking of doing a few Futurama cartoons (a parody on a parody...geez...there are people in this world... :D)
I was not quite sure wether I should use Groening's or my own drawing style for them, but I do think I might give it a try with my own.

Edith says: About Benders missing legs...20 minutes was my deadline, and that's how far I made it:) But I also have to admit that I was not quite sure what to do with Bender's look: As my drawing style is more detailed than the original Futurama style, I did have to add some details, but without them interfering with the general appearance.
Benders legs just coming out of his torso would have been to little detailing, but some kind of visible hydraulics too much. I will have to think of some modest details yet...

Howdy:)
I had planned to go with the cartoon thread for today...I had an idea (another head licking time travel) that would have linked Futurama to Greek Mythology via a Simpsons character, and a joke that was based on several levels.
Alas...when I gathered the most "intellectual" comments in here (also taking some of futuramaff and my cartoon thread from here):

Also, Leela's bust looks.. Erm, really blossomy.

Leela has mega boobage!

Excellent!
I love the combination of "realism" and exaggerated features (and I'm not just referring to Leela's chest).

And Leela looks very, shall we say voluptuous?

...well..before going on with the cartoons, a "reaction image" seemed to be in order

So, no I'll go back to the "serious" cartoons again...;)

These are very good, very professional. You've adapted them well in your style, and great shading! :)...

These drawings are awesome. Fantastic work.
Only thing I can critique is that you made Fry look too manly with his square jaw, but that's not a technical criticism. Awesome stuff.

I like how bender fails to look any different in other styles.

I once tried to make him look more mechanical, it doesn't work. You just can't do him any other way while still making him look like Bender.
