Hello. I started work on this a long time ago. One of the things I like doing for the Infosphere is making certain logos and things into SVG versions. They scale better and they look cleaner. And my work is even featured on Wikipedia (like the Earthican flag).

Anyway, I got everything but the text. I can't find what font they used, which is obviously the easy way to go. I could do it by hand, but then it loses that precision that I was going for. Also, it's tedious. And I gave up on this a long time ago. I hope someone here knows what font is used on the LoR crest. Or, I guess, if anyone's a little nuts, I could send you the SVG and you could trace it by hand if you'd like.

Thanks in advance for whatever help you can offer.

What do you use to produce SVG images?

Edit:  Can you provide a screengrab to the crest?

I use Inkscape.

The original is definitely hand drawn, and is a serif font, but past that I don't think I can help. I hope the best for you, it sounds like a worthy project and I'd love to have the result!

Yeah... I'm gonna have to go with hand drawn as well.  There may be fonts similar to it, but I'd probably just go to the trouble of painstakingly tracing it... although I'm not sure if Inkscape allows you to import raster filetypes for that purpose.
