hi, i've been making this cartoon for some time now. its called "sexton lovecraft vs the zargs" and it's kind of indiana jones meets dr who.
heres the trailer:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEN6EyGppYM

people do say the humour is a bit like futurama so i thought i'd post it here and see if you guys liked it. :)
it's in six sections of about 4-5 minutes each and here's part one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=admPF4VlUh0

here's some images:

it's been a huge amount of work, i hope you find something to enjoy and i welcome all your feedback.

I thought it was pretty good quality all 'round myself.  Also, obviously you put Futurama references through out it.... but yeah, I found it enjoyable, didn't see the sixth part though.  Kudos on your hard work.

Are you using Toon Boom Animate for this?  I like what you've done so far.  I just started getting into making my own cartoon very recently (less than 2 weeks ago).  I can definitely relate with you saying it's a lot of work.  Though, it's absolutely fun to work on isn't it?  Look forward to seeing some more from you.

hi, thanks for the feedback guys. yes i'm using toon boom but its not the latest version (its 4.something) but i use sony vegas and other tools for piecing it all together and doing the sound. very time consuming but a lot of fun!

Toon Boom is pretty nifty.  Did you find difficulty using it at first, but then getting past the initial learning curve to find how easy and intuitive it becomes?  I was wondering if you also used Vegas, and see that you do as well.  Keep up the good work.

once you get used to how toon boom works the speed you can put things together really increases. i've been working on sexton for maybe 18months and very rarely think about "how do i do that" anymore but there was a lot of that at the start.
i like your into prowla, that third robot that comes up looks like she might be one of benders girlfriends!

Nice work. I'd like to play with Toon Boom, but can't afford it.

there are cheaper options el-man. friends of mine used to say one of those around the $40/£30 mark was actually better I forget what it was called. maybe a search on google/amazon will give you some alternatives.

Got my A3 scanner recently, here are some scans of 3 of the 8 pages I've drawn for my graphic novel. Some of these images have been up here before, but they were photos not scans. The top page when I put it up before wasn't complete either...

They can be seen much bigger on my DeviantART page...

That's gonna be pretty sweet when it's finished.  I kind of hope you get it published Otis, even though I'm not quite aware of the whole plot and it's contextual metaphysical questions and responses.

Thanx guys, yeah the storyline won't make much sense at the moment, not for a long time. The best way to describe it is think of the art, does that seem like anything else to you? Hopefully not, and that's what the storyline is like, it's like what those drawings are to other drawings, the words are to other words...

Otis, like the others I'm liking your stuff! And the synopsis of the storyline there, I take it you mean they are aware that they live in a world where they're drawings/characters.

Something I've spent a few days working on. It's an attempt at making the work more... 'cinematic', if you please. (deviantART: Lee Roberts.)

Look at Washington...

Invert the light/shadow of carved mountain eyes, and you can really change the direction those eyes appear to look in, with out moving a single eye, I wonder, is that becuase of light & shadow?

Look at Lincoln!

Also, Photobucket Editor makes for some great effects.

Thanx, and it's sort of more like Soulless Voodoo Guy is dead and sees everything through his interpretations...

Nice shading on your work btw :)...

I tried drawing House earlier this evening and came up with this:

In general, I'm becoming much better at being able to capture likenesses. Before my characters just looked like the same person with different hair.

Nice to see you posting art again, Smarty. And posting in general. :)

He looks like Cuddy just asked him to babysit, and he doesn't want to say no as he'd miss out on nookie for the rest of the week.

They kind of do...I didn't care to put too much detail into them so I just sketched some shoes. Not intentional though. (Unless it is really Fry in a House costume).

Well, first thing to say that this wasn't made by me.
First I wanted to take a pic, but it's near 12AM now, so I did a web search, and found it! Saw this great graffiti today whilst walking past it and just thought "WOW! Impressive." I've seen them seven years ago how they began to create it.
