If we're _looking_ for flaws and fights, he could point to your unimaginative, middle-of-the-road, adolescent wish fulfilment, leavened by technique rather than talent.

I'm not sure why we'd bother looking for trouble like this, because it seems that everyone loses out that way.

*Marcus makes vague pokes at my method of producing my fanart (which I would never call art) and something about a wish of mine. (what?) And that I should just drop the issue.

Some schmo's writing and drawing a story; is it good? I wouldn't know, haven't read much of it, because I know I wouldn't enjoy the content. I've learned to shrug and move on to the next thing.

You just keep bitching him out. Fine, you don't like it (nor do I); doesn't mean you get to go around slagging it off - that just makes _you_ look like a polished turd, not him. Everyone's work is vulnerable to sledging, but it's a pointless game; no one's going to come out a winner on this!

It's also exactly how people get turned off from drawing x-toon stuff, other folk setting themselves up as the Arbiter of Porn.

That likely to happen to Jackstraw? I sincerely doubt it; he's always struck me as a self-motivated guy. The point is it's bad practice, an easy habit to get into, and all in all a pretty shitty thing to do to someone.
