Well hello Joel! Great to see you here again. What's all this then? Plaudits about the novel. Excellent. I have to agree with Bf... Too many people are gone or hardly post anymore. I'm not much good on chat rooms like this, since I don't have much to chat about.
Balls. I don't remember you ever having much of a problem with that. Do come back. Or stay. Whichever.

Good to see you Frisco. The forum seems to have undergone a facelift since I was last around.
Indeed behold the glory that is PEEL 2.0. Behold it!! Nah. I'm not much good on chat rooms like this, since I don't have much to chat about.
I'm not buying that for a second. You were one of the most interesting people here by far. Oh what little faith we have.

Ralphie! You beat me to it Sorry, I got excited. I just noticed that the publish date is in the middle of next year, so that's a long pre-order. But on the plus side, they've decided to use my cover design. km73 Marcus, Unlucky, Archie - thanks guys. The novel was actually complete three or four years ago, I've just been trying to find a publisher since. Frisco Oh what little faith we have. You're right. Oh well, the lower one's expectations are, the more frequently they are pleasently surprised.

The kind of restaurant where people dine. It's classy. Situated on a golf resort. Wealthy bastards and bastardettes frequent it. Sometimes arriving in personal helicopters. Oh how I loathe them. A Chomp is a chocolate/caramel bar which retails in Australia for a buck. Monocles aren't my thing, but I do enjoy pocket-watches. Swords I already have. Yes, it's a stark cover design. It shows the main character silhouetted in profile. Silhouetted, because the title of the novel is 'Silhouettes'. Clever, eh? Eh? Not many people pick up on that. I was worried my blurb was a bit too Hollywood and I considered doing one with a more tongue-in-cheek vibe, but the publisher obviously liked the first one.

Personal helicopters? Oh, okay, then you can just steal their monocles. (Or pocket-watches). And one can never have too many swords. Yeah, the synopsis is dramatic, to be sure; but it reads pretty much like any 'professional' blurblet like that that I've seen. So of course they liked it. Sounds like you succeeded in weaving in most of the plot elements. (I suppose).
