I'm in the process of making a slideshow like that. I can't find any clips.

Neither can I. And I don't know how to record clips from a DVD onto a Mac.

Oh, you use iMovie? So do I.

Yeah I do. What I want to do is put the DVD in the Mac, open DVD, and try to record that. But I can't find a software to record my desktop...

Have any ideas?

I'm sure you can find some freeware if you look hard enough, but I don't think we can talk about DVD ripping here.

DVD ripping isn't illegal.  I think you may want to look for a program called VirtualDub though.  It's freeware, and it might just be helpful.
