I get so frustrated by not knowing how to make a scan!   mad  Could someone please tell me how to do it and what you need?

This is a post by The Real Fry (not the fake Fry that you might have seen on TV)...

The paths tool is the pen thing, it takes a while to learn how to use it effectively, you need to practice a lot, i use the paths tool in most of the things i do, and yes sometimes doing big complecated scans takes ages, it's very tedious work

Scans are easier to do with a proper vector-drawing program, like Macromedia Flash, Adobe Illustrator or Macromedia Freehand. Just open the picture you want to scan and trace it on another layer above. I haven't done any scans, so if someone knows better (Paul?) s/he may correct me.
What little I have used them, Photoshop's vector drawing capabilities aren't that great (Photoshop 6).

Originally, I made crappy art with Paint. Now I make crappy art with Flash 5, but the crappiness level declined. I found the Flash 5 at the site: Macromedia.com and how-to on: www.futurama-center.de  even though I can't read German, I got the gist of it. My attempts are here using Flash, so you can see the quality. My Art Thread
