A friend of mine found this on the Popular Science website.  This is a 30 second video of a guy explaining why he deserves a JVC shopping spree but he does it in a Bender Costume.  He has a cigar and he has liquor in his chest (Crown Royal and Jager I think).  I gave him 5 stars just because of his costume.  Here is the link http://popsci.videos.vmixcore.com/vmix_hosted_apps/p/media?id=1506153

I flipped through some of the other videos, some are humorous and are worth a glance, but this Bender video is the best IMHO.

iam particularly impressed that he managed to find room for the box inside benders front door, where he stores stolen booty! I'd have trouble with my beer gut!

Wow, thats me.  Yea, go vote for me.  I guess I should have posted this costuem myself years ago when I first made it.  One of my friends just told me that I showed up on a Furturama message board.  To gaschief, the secret is the chest shelf slides in and out.  I put the shelf in after I put the main body (which is a garbage can) on.  I can't fit my body through the torso with the self, but after I get the torso on there is quite a bit of room in the midesection just infront of my beer gut.

GT: ... A PEELer who spent more than 15 seconds on a futurama-related project and DIDN'T post self-promotional images/links/comments ad-nauseum? I'm stunned to silence.

Come to think of it, even I'm usually guilty on that one...heh

Anyway, there may be hope for humanity yet. Nice work!   :)

In my defense, I heard about this message board today and that was my first post on this board.  I'll post all kinds of pics for his 3rd birthday this halloween though

nice costume!

My chest shelf does not come out- so it is VERY difficult to fit into...  I've been trying to lose weight so I can wear it again someday...

I don't know about LA con- but It's pictured in my avatar. It's sort of a grey plasticky looking one as opposed to your metallic one.  They'd make a good pair.  :)
