You could try to "freehand" using vector based tools, such as Fireworks8.  Although... now that macromedia is no more... >

Either way, you should invest in something other than Mspaint.

Yeah I know but I don't have the money to get anything else at the moment I think my scanner works so I'll use that until I get something better.

careful usage of the pencil tool + the paint bucket tool,  and ellipse tool for the eye.

So... yea it seems tedious and painful XD

Yeah it took a while but I had the time because my cousin was sleeping and he can't watch anything except Nick Jr and I have no social life because well they think I'm insane. I don't know why though but it could have something to do with the fact that I tend to throw out ramdom Futurama quotes that fit whats going on but no one gets them because no one in my area thinks Futurama is good. So to entertain myself I did this. I really do need to find better programs or get my scanner to work.

@FuturamaPac: I just used the elipse tool for the eye, the pencil for the out line, and the paint bucket and alot of time on my hands.

This one took a while. Bender and Fry don't look very good. Well either does Leela but she looks better than Fry and Bender. I hate M.S. Paint you can only draw with the mouse. I have some sketches that I'm gonna put at later. I'm glad that some people think I draw ok. My art teachers have told me time and time again that I can't draw. And my family tells me on a daily basis that I can't draw  .

lol, bender looks kind of complex in that picture.  There are free alternatives to Mspaint, such as GIMP and (for some pirates) Photoshop/illustrator/fireworks/paintshop

man these look like they take while to draw.  Consider investing in something better than paint?

It pains me that you're being limited by the simplistic nature of the software of choice.  Free apps like GIMP, or commercial apps that everyone pirates anyways like Fireworks CS3 and Illustrator.

Yeah I need to find those. I really hate paint but right now that's all I have. I'll try to download something but my computers memory is so full I don't know if it'll work.

The vast resources of a PC and no tracing is like wasting a good gift.  It's a sin!  But sometimes you can't trace as I'm about to find out in this next scene im doing.

Yeah I like the outlined stuff better I just need to thin out the outlines they're way too thick. I drew all the stuff by hand (ecept the reall crappy ones done on paint) and pausing the episode where there is a scene I like but I didn't add the background because that would have taken me a while. I'm gonna put up more soon but I've had lots of exams and end of junior year parties and softball stuff. So as soon as my scanners get fixed and all of me parties are over and my rents don't kill me because of bad SAT scores/regents scores and skipping tech class. I'll get more up. I'm glad you guys think that they're good.

Wow like 2 months since my last art damn it. I keep trying to get one up per week. Sorry for the double but here's a new art.



Who is and why is he mad? What do you guys think? I got more stuff that I'm trying to get to the point of actually thinking that it looks good enough to put up. I just realized I spelt "attempts" wrong on the thread title. That only took my a few months.      I don't like how I did his hand.

Edit 11-12: I have a new picture. Not Futurama related (It's Chekov ♥ ) it's a new style so it should look more realistic but I'm very new at this style but I'm still posting it because I don't think that it's too horribly bad. I'm gonna post it in a couple hours.

Some great work man.
If you can lay your hand on a fine black marker (Artline pigment ink 0.5 is what I use), you might find it easier to ink over your pencil lines and darken them before you scan and start colouring.

I'm afraid that my stuff that I did today doesn't look as good as the rest of the stuff here but it's a realistic style and not a cartoony style so I just need practice I'll put the stuff up soon. Stupid winter cleaning.
