(sorry to double post) >All you people are so amazing with your graphic design prowess. I feel like a neanderthal, using a primative stick of graphite to scratch pictures on paper... YOU MUST TEACH ME! You amaze us with your ability to use a primative stick. I know I'd rub holes into paper to try and get that sort of quality! All you people are so amazing with your graphic design prowess. I feel like a neanderthal, using a primative stick of graphite to scratch pictures on paper... YOU MUST TEACH ME! It isn't that hard to do, in fact you would probably kick yourself and scream: "why didn't I think of that!?" I know I did when Marcus showed me how to line pencil drawn pictures in Paint Shop Pro. When I draw my (pathetic) drawings I usually do a thumbnail to find out how I want the picture. Then I draw it as a whole. After that I fill in the pencil lines with a pigment liner. Scan it to ze magic puter box. Clean all smudges, spots and other stuff up before I flat color. Then I shade. Finally I use the smudge tool to soften. As Tastes Like Fry said.. piece of cake.

PS: What's a 'pigment liner'? Meh. My poor grasp of English is to blame I wager. English isn't my first language you see. If you need an example of that feel free to read my crappy fic. Anyway. Don't be discouraged, it isn't that hard to learn. If you need hints/help email Marcus. I'm sure he'll help you. You don't know what a pigment liner is? This is what I use. Edit: Yikes! That is a great action image! Go Leela!!

Just a few unfamiliar terms. Hmmm, those pigment liners look pretty cool, must keep an eye out for some of them. As for computer stuff... I'm about to get fired from my job for losing my driver's licence so it'll probably be a while until I can afford an appropriate program.
Oh, how do you turn your words into hyperlinks like that?

Oh, how do you turn your words into hyperlinks like that? You're about to loose your job?! That sucks!! How I turn words into hyperlinks? Magic! Simple; [ LRU=http://*your-link*]*your-link-text-here*[/ LRU] Where LRU is to be replaced with URL.

Thank you all for such kind words. Your compliments have recharged my power cells. Within the next few days I'm gonna do one of Fry and Nibbler blowing away a bunch of Brainspawn just as the prophets fortold.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing? You're welcome, I had fun colouring something I didn't draw. Corvus; Vastly supirior?! ... someone deflate my head plebe... As if, that's barely an excuse! You did a great job. That new picture's amazing; can't wait for Nibbler and Fry. I don't know terms either. I just trace, colour and shade.

Whoa, okay okay, gimme a few hours. It's not finished yet, but I thought I should scan this part of it to give y'all an early impression of how utterly ridiculous Nibbler looks firing a big machine gun. Heh heh... made me laugh - cute little furry critter packing some serious heat. And as for why Nibbler isn't being affected by the Brainspawn stupification ray... I don't know... Someone make up a reason.

His poeple have been around since the dawn of time, I'm sure they evolved to combat their worst enemies. Truly awesome, breathtaking, accurate, interesting asts you've got here. Each picture feels like its bursting with energy, even when its occupants are standing still. Don't stop drawing!

Depressingly good drawings, coldangel! Nibbler and the Omicronians look _great_ in your style And I can't look at your Rambo Leela without thinking of the female Peacekeeper in Farscape (what was her name?), excellent action shot. The only caveat I can think of is that you seem very fond of big shoulders and arms For female characters that can be a bit surprising, but for all I know that's the plan All the work outs and alien fighting she does, I guess you'd expect Leela to be quite strongly built. As for computer stuff... I'm about to get fired from my job for losing my driver's licence so it'll probably be a while until I can afford an appropriate program. Hey, not cool sorry to hear the job news... If you are interested in trying out computer colouring, there are a number of good freeware programs, and older programs can easily be... obtained... if you've got a speedy connection! File sharing can be a good thing, especially to get out-of-production but still servicable programs for free. If you find one you like, you can buy a newer version when you've got the time/money And if you get a copy of Paint Shop Pro 7, I'd be happy, as Corvus said (cheers for the advertising, man!), to give a wee tutorial on how I use it to line pics and colour them, just to help get you started. Very quick and easy, I promise! Or I could try and send you my copy, no worries. Drop me an email (thatenglishguy@hotmail.com) or something if the fancy takes you sometime

Yeah, I give Leela a bit of meat to her arms because she's a tough chick. She routinely beats the crap out of men. Other female characters I do don't have that bit of extra bulk, but I thought it was right for her. They do give her a bit of shoulder girth in the series.
I'm dropping you an email now. I'd appreciate it greatly if you could do that for me, if not then I'll check on a few fileshare networks like you say, now that I have a name to go on.
*I'm currently trying to upload my next pic but photobucket seems to be down.

I guessed that you wouldn't mind... after all you taught me and you know how crappy I am at art, right? @Coldangel_1: Yowza! Nice action. Thank you all. I had to give Fry a sword. I just love swords... I'll do some more cartoony-style ones next, back toward the more original form. The pistol Fry is using is a Glock 20 10mm auto, probably about the largest calibre of handgun you can get, and often used to fend off large predators like bears and such. Nibbler's gun is just something I pulled out of my arse... and yeah, he looks scary - he's in BATTLE mode. Mwuhahahaha!

Hey, here's something stupid. Leela's about to make Fry her bitch. And he's about to LET her. Anybody so much as snickers at me and I'll hit 'em with a pool cue. Oh yeah, in case I didn't mention it before... I think I did... but in case I didn't, for any who haven't had a look I'm doing a fanfic that has some (rather poor) illustrations to go with that haven't been shown in this thread.
