Futurama Monopoly

I have been working on this for about a month. 

Heres what I got done so far.







Does anyone know who made the game board image? Heres a better look of the whole image if needed.

Thanks tyraniak I am hoping I can get this project done soon.

I figured out who made the image Kevin Mac.  By reading the alien code from the picture. I didnt want to take the image and not give credit.

wow, that's awesome! I've been looking for a Futurama monopoly. I mean they should have one, after all they have a simpsons monopoly. So why not Futurama?

Very impressive, m2zt!  I agree with you Benders Fan.  There's so many Simpsons products that have been shoved down out throats, why not more Futurama products?  Including a Monopoly!  Maybe when the show comes back.

I was just getting into 3d so I figured why not a monopoly game in 3d something simple as a first project.  Im going to try to work on it everyday but I am not sure when I am going to get this done. Hopefully before December but school is taking up alot of my time. 

If anyone wants to make a 3d model like for example bender's head or any other character doesnt matter and ill add it in the game.  Formats must be .x .3ds .mdL .md2 or .md3
I havent done any 3d models yet but ill let you know how big its suppose to be.

I like it! The interface is especially cool, with the 3D elements and the text-based elements. I'm loving the place names. Haha, "Just Sinning".

There's also the inheirent awesomeness of a Futurama game that's actually getting done! There have been a few fan attempts at a Futuropoly type game, but none seem to have gotten as far as yours. Keep up the good work! I'd definately help, but I have no 3D knowledge whatsoever.

You cant play as any character just the ones i get 3d models of or the ones I make.  So if you want a character in the game you could help me out by making it.  It doesnt have to be really good as long as you can tell what it is.

So I made two models for the houses.  I was thinking of a futurama building but I just couldnt do it.

Thanks for your opinion soylentorange.   

I guess i will do the red house because a couple of my friends said they liked that one better and i think your right about making it smaller. So ill fix that.

Right now I am having camera problems so ill let you know when i fix that too.

Heres a TO DO LIST:
add house positions
add cards
add images for buildings(Shows what places owned)
Add tax money
Make 3d models
Add in computer player(probably only one computer for now.)

Ill edit this when i finish something or add things when i think of it.

Well I got good news for all the poor people out there.  The game is going to be free. If I were to sell it Im pretty sure I would get sewed by Fox or from the Parker Brothers.

I also plan on making the dice 3d if I can make it look right.  Im still working on the 3d houses.  I am just having a lil problem lining them up right.

I've been playing around with a couple ideas for a Futurama game, and you're welcome to any of my models/textures... just a couple low-poly buildings at this point, but I'm working on more:

Those models look great!  I was thinking about doing robot arms apartment for hotels and since you offered I'll use your model. Just curious what program are you using to make those?

I have finally finished the houses for the properties

Im now working on the cards.

I have made some.

• Use the Tubes to Go Collect $200
• It's your lucky day! Steal $50 from each player
• Go to Robot Hell.  Do not pass Go.  Do not collect $200.
• Prepare to go to war with MOM! Pay $40 per house and Pay $115 per apartment
• Break out of jail FREE
• You got caught stealing a Mousepad from Joey Mousepad pay $150
• Pay $200 or be Destroyed by Destructor!
• Tax refund Collect $300 Big Boys
• You found $10 in a wallet. Collect $10
• You successfully sold four love beads. Collect $20
• You found out MOMs evil plan. She offers $100. Collect $100
• You saved the day from the Omicronians. Collect $100
• You successfully sold one of your organs. Collect $45
• You succesfully knocked fox off the air. Collect $25
• The police caught you stealing. Pay $50
• You successfully delivered a package. Collect $75

I am now working on the cards info for the houses.  Heres an example of one. 



Some person wanted me to put a fan script in the game.  So I decided to add a fan script feature where you can read someones fan script while you wait for the other person to make there move/decisions or turn.  If I can get multiplayer going i will definitely add this feature in.  Would you guys think thats a good idea? 

There is no way im going to get this done in Decemeber but I am going to finish this project sometime.

Very cool initiative m2zt.  I remember when all the images were developed for a futurama monopoly, but my memory escapes me on who, although it seems like you found the thread.  I think they talked about actually doing what you have done at some point, but no one got around to doing it.  I am also semi-aware a lot of those images disappeared over the year.  I might, and this is a long stretch might, have something on my mom's computer though.  Also, the fanscript to read while taking turns sounds neat.  You're doing a great job, and I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate seeing this finished.
