New art, and once again I've shirked my Futurama duties. I'm a terrible person and should feel bad. One day I'll just upload a TON of Futurama art to make up for it.

Your artistic abilities have done nothing but improve over the years I've known you.

That's some really nice shading you've got going on there, and a decent drawing too :)...

Xanfor, that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. :D

Gasp in delight, for there is Futurama art, and you can color it too. I started coloring it and felt it wasn't going so hot so I'm posting up the line work for you all. If you're going to color it, and wanna post it places give me credit. That's all I ask.

I haven't been here in about seven months or so, but I really enjoy looking at your work. It's very well done. :)

More art of my alien dude I made up a while back. I think the first drawing of him is a page or two back. If not, sue me.

You know...he kind of looks like Aladdin there...I think it's the eyes :shifty: and slightly the jawline maybe. But still pretty damn neat, just like everything else here!

@any1else: Hmmm, I don't really see it too terribly much but I can see where you're coming from.

Alright, more art. Not Futurama art, but if you think about it, this show had many Futurama voice actors in it, so in a waaayyyy it's kiiiiiinda related-ish...

and if anyone is interested in seeing the sketch before it was finished...

I never fail to drop off the face of the artistic planet only to once more show myself. I should really keep a bit more regularity to this poor old thread. I'm sure it gets lonely sometimes.

Love it! You pay attention to detail and it just looks so professionally done...I envy your talent and ability to draw the human being...because it's difficult. :p

@spira: I used a regular old Papermate .07mm mechanical pencil, my finger for blending and a Sanford Jet Black ebony pencil to get the hair extra dark and a few of the other shadows.

@Smarty: Well thank you. It's quite difficult drawing humans! My art classes seem to have paid off though. I never could've done this a year or so ago I don't think.

Mechanical pencils...I love drawing with them, even though they have their limitations. And I also blend with my finger, or a tissue. It's quite fun. I'm taking a second art class (finally) second semester this year. I haven't taken one since my sophomore year, and I have missed it.  :)

Ah, neat! I usually draw with #2 pencils. I tend to write and draw pretty heavily so mechanical pencils are always breaking on me and getting lead everywhere. Finger blending is the best.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who constantly breaks the lead in mechanical pencils. They should make it stronger is all. ;) Finger blending may be messy but it works best unless you've got sweaty fingers or something. Then blending stumps are second best.

Professor Zoidy, that is really high quality work! I love that Roxanne drawing. I had a look at your deviantart profile as well... just amazing!

Do you draw professionally?

I'm flattered, truly I am wowbagger. Glad you enjoy all my work.

To answer your question: sadly no, I do not work professionally but rest assured I am well on my way to earning an art degree. I still have much to learn before graduating and I feel my work is not yet really ready for professional scrutiny but with more time and growth I could probably freelance if I so desired.

Probably so; I just think my work could use more imporvement yet. Really though if someone else wished me to do something for them I'd do it (and I'd charge them of course. I'm not for free). I just cannot guarantee it will look exactly like the subject I'm attempting to render; I'm pretty hit-and-miss, especially if I'm drawing beautiful people. They're actually harder than people with more interesting and unique or downright ugly features. So if you gave me a photo of a witch and a photo of a beauty queen the witch would probably look better/more realistic.

I really should get off my bum and offer my services to earn some cash. You can never have too much money. :D

Anyways, new art. The sketch of this was old, and I finally finished it today. Ahhh, satisfaction. The Polaroid "frame" was stock from dA and I altered it to look worn.

Mmmm, lookit dat Futurama fan art! Long time no draw and it felt good to churn out some sketches. I found it super easy to draw Leela now that I've gained a better artistic eye from college.

Omg the pictures are so good I especially love your Bender because of the 3D tone!
I like your Leelas as well but the one on the bottom right looks slightly off model with the eye.
