Hi everyone,
Please choose the combo in the Poll that you use the most or give you the best results, and post about them below.
Cheers

For the mods: I did a search and found some of what I needed but then decided to make a poll so its easier for PEEL artists to decide which program to use.

I mainly use Photoshop but I am going to try out Photoshop for colours and Illustrator for outlines.

Photoshop covers everything I need.

I use paint when I'm bored though.

Hmm.... I have a proböem now  :hmpf:

I've been using PaintShopPro for the past 5 years, which was made by JASC till version 9. How every, they got taken over by Corel and now version 10 is called Corel PaintShopPro X.

Should I vote for PSP now, or for Corel products?

voted PSP

I use illustrator for the outlines and then import into photoshop for colour and shading (and the background of course)

Finally got with the times and installed CS2!  Woohoo!

I used to use MS Paint for my old scans, then I used Flash (my vote), and sometimes I combine it with Fireworks... but I still use MS Paint, for Pixel Art mostly. I also used Corel, but a long time ago.

@ Fryismyhero: Yeah I just got like everything Adobe in CS2  :D   Also how do you import your pics from Illustrator to Photoshop? And how do you make a new layer and do all of those basic functions of making a grab in Illustrator?

Yeah I have been experimenting with all of the Adobe programs on my PC but what also is a big factor for me is the quality and angle of the grab ie If I wanted to make an image of Bart for a website I would much rather have one with him not holding anything and front-on (although some times I wish I could find a side-on angled grab)
But thats just me though.

Hmmmm 10 options and some repeats, which ultimatley means the program I use is not on there.

Well I guess I use Photoshop for certain parts of my pics (mostly tweaking after I am done) but the main program I use is Open Canvas 3.

I really love my Open Canvas but since most people here do "Scan Art" and it is pretty useless for that. Anyway go Open Canvas.

^^^
I just open up the illustrator file in photoshop.  I only have Illustrator 10 as I figured there was no point upgrading as I don't use the program much.  Not sure what you mean about a grab in Illustrator?

I use photoshop 7. I had CS but for some reason none of the shortcuts worked which was major suckage. I've never used illustator and i think i've used a demo of PSP once and only just realised i had it on my computer then. I've used imageready a a few times for .gif making but thats its. I do use mspaint if ive forgotten to colour a few pixels and cbf opening photoshop again =P

I use both Illustrator and Photoshop. I know Illustrator is better, but I'm still learning it. Plus Photoshop I think is easier to use and sometimes I can't get the effects I want from Illustrator. It's frustrating at times, I still need to spend time just learning the program better.
