I had an hour spare so I made a model of bender and some brain slugs.. Then spent another hour making mray renders.

Damn! Those brainslugs are awesome.

And the metallic look on Bender is just fantastic.

Definitely the best 3D work Ive seen.

I did.. Because I'm making that un-official movie  :)

They're just test shots of the characters, nothing terribly fascinating or hard to do. The final quality of the film will be at 2k res, which means 1920x1080 in size, so there's just so much detail to put into these shots, because it'll be noticable when its shown on a decent size HD screen.

Obviously, using some cliche'd cinematography can help (close ups with a strong depth of field / focus blur), or even some old tricks with lighting (texturing the light you're projecting, so you get more detail than actually exists on the materials/models themselves).

I'm quite bored, you see.
