I think the only criticisms I would have would remain with the lines - not the colouring. The colouring's very good. 

If you want to know my criticisms - basically her breasts don't look quite right, and dare I say it...I think her nose could be a little bigger...

@ spacedal11- They are alot massively bigger than realistic breast's

well... here's a picture of bender's head. I needed a picture that would be easy to outline in photoshop, ie. bender.
I used a reference picture for the expression    but the rest was just 100% 'my man-wich'.
Could someone point out any error's before I destroy it in photoshop.

Oh no, I wasn't complaining about your lines ('cept the image was a bit large  ) I just thought the original drawing lines - the breasts didn't look quite right and the nose could have been slightly bigger

Cool pic - impressed by the shading   

No errors, but if you want to be _really_ nit-picked, the knob on the end of his antenna is a little off centre, and not a perfect circle. Also, some of the linework doesn't perfectly match up/is a little wavery - the lower chinline, the top of the dome of his head, the stalk and plate of his antenna.

But these are things I'm sure you'd catch in photoshop anyway, at the lining stage, rather than anything needing any sort of re-drawing. As I say, you have to be appallingly pedantic to point these things out, but as you asked...

No, I've always left notes to self on my pics, so I can tick them off as I correct them    I also often bother friends with them when they were works in progress and ask for opinions/critiques, so this was a quick way of saying what I'd already caught, do you agree with it, spot anything else etc. without having to write it all out in an email! Habit's stuck with me

Hah! An extra day was all it took!

Behold!

Um... OK, this turned out a little bit 'meh' - colouring and shading are not my strongest suits, and my backgrounds are always more functional than a part of the pic. So, a picture that relied heavily on lighting effects and character/background interactions was always going to be a challange! I think you can see what I was _going_ for though, and it's a nice idea.

And a close up of Leela - she works quite well, I think, it's just the overall pic that was a bit weak in the execution.

I think that the shading is great. The glow effect gives it a nice touch. Very good.

Yay! You took my idea into concideration. I think it turned out really well. It's neat. And it's badass.  I certainly like the idea. She looks serious and yet I can still here the actiony theme music playing in the background. Is she gonna get sucked in? Is she not? Is someone gonna save her or get pulled in themselves? Who knows it's a mystery!

@ man-wich: lining looks better than my early attempts    Was taught by the inestimable Paul M (above! - inbox now  registered, btw, check yours!) and that helped a lot. I don't know much about the pen tool on photoshop, but if you ever 'obtain' a copy of paint shop pro 7 (or ever ask me to send you it), I'd be happy to pass on the 'Knowledge'   

Cheers for kind words too! Spacedal's void idea (thanks again!) was done by: image-googling 'vortex'; finding an image of the mathematical grid structure; resizing and rotating it to fit; lining the horizontal bands, and working from there. Easy! I liked the pink glow, but I think purple might have been a better vortex colour, or maybe an electric blue.

Actually, if it is Amy... do you know, it's been, what, 3 years or so since we learned she's got talking tattoos plastered across her buttocks? And in all that time, I've never worked out a way to draw them in action.

Actually, futz is right on this one: the pose was based on action/realism concerns rather that what'd-look-hottest. If I'd been moved to do Fry, he'd have got a similar pose - it'd be sexist not to draw Leela the same way!

Besides, she's trying to keep all her bodyparts clear of the vortex (originally, stop herself falling into an unexpected hole by bracing herself against the sides), so I think the pose makes sense.

Actually, if it had been a bloke, I think it'd have to be drawn in the nude (the guy in the pic in the nude, not me. Don't have nightmares). The suction effects of the vortex would have been... entertaining.. Well, if your humour expectations are low enough, anyway!

Ach, I'm flattered! I particularly like the sun (lens flare tool?) and blushing effects - I was thinking about a blush on Fry and/or Leela myself when I looked at the pic. That or sunburn 

The way Fry's shorts are shaded, looks like they've been drying, very nice - dunno if it's intentional, but it works! Burn and Dodge tools? Gradients?
