Well, I got one really good one: Use the freaking guidelines you lazy people! Use the guidelines; they really work for Matt's style. I of course freehanded that particular Bender, since I've yet to take the time to sit down and see the guidelines, but, hey, I had time to kill that night.... If you've got the 4th DVD boxed set, it's on the 4th DVD (in that set, so 4th set, 4th DVD to be a tad clearer on the subject) Other than that, I've got none. If you read the Simpsons TPB, you may have stumbled upon the one with Homer, Marge. and many others on the cover dancing (extravaganza or something like that, I think it's called) Matt gives pointers. Also, try tracing pictures of them by printing them off and using blank paper over that. Freehanding may work better in some cases. As you can see, Clobberella (Leela's) head's got guidelines, and the rest is painstakingly freehanded, and pencil shaded. Probably if you've got a scanner, scan in the Black and white image and color that/w shading first. If you like it, shade the real one in like that, or learn the hard way and have to use the eraser for a looonnggg time trying to get as much color off as possible. One more thing: CHECK FOR MIS-SPELLED WORDS! I was drawing a turtle named "Bentley" but forgot the secong "E" and didn't notice before I traced over it... I'm now officially humiliated.. I'll show it to you if you wish.
