Someone should do a Futurama parody of Chicago!!  They could be visiting an ancient history museum and get magically sucked into the 1920s and the story!

Who do you think would play all the parts?  ;)

Chicago is the 2002 Best Picture Oscar. It's an awesome movie. Some people have done parody pictures. But no one has done a fan fiction. And I find a lot of things wrong with doing a Chicago parody.

1) It's a musical. It's really hard to picture the characters dancing and all that if you've never seen the movie or know the soundtrack.

2) Magically sucked into the 1920's? I wouldn't buy that for a second.

3) If they did go back in time I think it'd have to be a "what if?" question.

And Kryten this is in fan art/fiction. Welcome littlefry63 and frybend. Enjoy your stay at nerd world.

I KNEW I should have put it in Fan Art!!  Only goes to show that you should never second guess yourself...

The What If machine!!  Why didn't I think of that?

It's even more awesome as a play. Almost twice the musical numbers. I saw it on broadway.

Sucked into 1920's? Nah. Well perhaps if the fan-fic established "alternate universe" straight away and had the characters really exist in the 1920s and not just beam there from 3000+ then fine (not sure how you could explain Leela, and I'm just curious as to whether I'm the only one who's more than happy to convert Bender into his human form for such occasions?(As long as it's alternate universe)) - although technically you could probably make the excuse that the gang get stranded on a 1920's style Theme Planet. That excuse seems to keep appearing in the official comics...

Actually the "alternate universe" theory could work in the right context.

I know this is a little off topic (actually way off topic)but wouldn't it be wild if, @ the next ComicCon Billy West was greeted by a chorus of fans singing "All I Care About" (the "We want Billy" prelude).  I was just listening to that track and I thought of that.

That's who I always think of when I listen to that song. I still can not picture this working but hey why not? I've always been curious.

Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the magic-voiced prince of the animation scene, the one, the only...BILLY WEST!!

Do you think he should do stage work?

Or maybe they can go to a planet where everything is like Chicago in the 1920s.  The planet can be called, "Capone 20."

Works for me...super kawaii!  "Capone 20"

btw, Jade_Gryphon said on another post that "Mr. Cellophane" describes Zoidberg pretty well.  I agree.
