Alternate endings in fanfics.

Has anyone ever tried an alternate ending in their fanfics?  If so, which ones?

You mean, we'd write alternate endings because we wouldn't trust ourselves with keeping the real ending a secret?  I don't know what purpose having more than one ending in a fanfic could serve.

I assumed he meant an alternate ending to an episode type fanfic.  I wrote my very first fan story as an alternate ending, way back when....they can be a fun way to explore different ideas in the series.

For those interested, it was a Blake's 7 story called "Altered Orbit," which appeared in a club fanzine called Standard by Several.  What?  What is a fanzine?  Fanzines are those paper things we used to xerox and sell before the internet got really big.
