Great work Fry 1077, I especially like the quality of your American Dad scans. I have been asking alot of people this but what program do you use for your scans? because i have photoshop and mine turn out nothing like your american dad ones. Maybe i should make a poll...

I don't think it matters so much which program we use, but moreso the different techniques and the detail in which we go into with the shadows, shading and the subtle differences in colour. Also, a scan can look a lot different depending of which brush size is used and how sharp the lines are made. The use of shadowing though is what distinguishes a good scan from a great scan, because it will accentuate the angle at which the character(s) is standing and will add a greater depth and mill generally make the scan a higher quality.

well it depends on what method you use for example vector, or just using a free hand tool.
