For one thing, get a true address. I seriously doubt that http://*your-link*/  is a true full address. You can find the real address at the top of your browser when visiting the page your pic or html is on.

You have to replace the *your-link* with the URL of the picture.

For example, [ img]http://www.peelified.com/ubb/avatars/Leela-Gun_PM.gif[ /img]

becomes

Think of the term *your link* as *insert your address here*. Don't include those *'s.
