i can't get the final scan to work, but here is a "before" while i was in the layout phase.  it is now completed and shaded.  hopefully in the next couple of days i'll get a good scan and/or picture of it.  allergies are killing me tonight though.  i haven't taken much artistic license (yeah, yeah, it's a cartoon!) except to change the text CHARACTERS YOU CAN RELATE TO to PARTY LIKE IT'S 2999! and omit the text at the bottom.  i also straightened the female's head to get a better view of her though this did diminish bender's pimp-osity a tad.  :laff:

i am proud of this because of the accuracy of the dimensions.  if this or other work i do draws some interest i might be willing to make prints at kinkos at no charge, not to toot my own horn though.

Hey, that's pretty darn good, tire (or would you rather be called Austin?).  I don't know how I missed your finished product, but I did.  Anyhoo, excellent work.  As for coloring it, if you can get it scanned at Kinko's, and put on a disk, coloring it on the computer might be an option (if you aren't up to it, there's at least a handful here that would probably do it for you).

Also, I snagged an Adult Swim Futurama subway ad banner off eBay a while ago ... I'll see if I can find a good picture - something you might be interested in.

edit:
Found a pic off another eBay auction of an identical item:

call me austin.  that's awesome, zoidberg227, i like those big signs.  my bachelor pad is, well, a big bachelor pad complete with futurama, family guy, star wars, etc. stuff in it.  that thing would be perfect for the kitchen, i might just get it.  is fry having a muscle spasm or something, he looks hunched?

does anyone know how much a scan by kinko's cost?  there isn't one nearby so it'd have to be a sorta-special trip to do it, or else i'd drop by and see.

i finally scanned it and tried to match up the seam, so here's the semi-finished product.  i'm going to go over it one more time and darken it some more.

Hmm.  I always thought that it was just him slouching ... or shrugging.

can i get a final ruling on how to spell the woman robot's name?

mr. dimaggio said he'll sign it, and i'm trying to track down the lady that did anglelyne (sp?).  does anyone know, or can put me in contact with her?

Angleyne, as it's spelled, was voiced by Jan Hooks.  As for contacting her, you're on your own.  If you can find John to sign it, I'm sure you have the resources to find her, too.  Good luck.
