Whoah, it's been 3 months since I last posted stuff. That's kind of lazy.

Sleepy Fry... Pencil sketch, half photoshopped, half corel paintered.



I always seem to draw shippy pictures whenever I can't come up with a better idea. There's some better ideas coming soon I swear! Feel free to poke me if I leave it for more than 2 weeks.

Man, you're even more of an awesome artist than last time I was here. I love the latest, I know people have already said this, but if it weren't as rough, it wouldn't look nearly as insane. As it is, I actually laughed when I saw the caption. Amazing work, as always.

Okay, lets see how much sense Zmithy makes when posting at 3:30 AM after a busy Saturday night (it's bonfire night over here in the UK!).

Boltz, say what now: Yeah, I guess the rough style kinda suits the subject matter... not that it was planned like that or anything. And "Morbidly Funny" is exactly what the look I was going for  .

Futurama Nerd: Well of course I wouldn't fail you... not after what happened last time *rubs his kneecaps*. Oh, no. Never again. 

Javier: I really think the needle teeth make that picture. They'll make a reappearance if I ever have a hankering for drawing some more crazee professee.

Ralph: I guess those look like organ plucking tongs, never bothered to think about what he's actually 'helping' with. Probably best left to the imagination.

Nasty and NIC: Oh c'mon, it's not that scary  . Glad you like it.

hobojobo: Cheers  . It's great to see you back on PEEL- did that animation of yours ever work out?

Back in my world, the computer's been kind of fuxx0red for the last month or so. There's a lot of pencil sketches that need a day or three of photoshopping before I upload them (I dislike posting unfinished stuff).

I'm quite into Firefly at the moment, so I'm gonna try some Futurama/Firefly crossover stuff and see how it turns out. Just nailing down which characters from the 2 shows are similar and trying out some pencil sketches at the moment.

So far the list goes:

Mal - Zapp (captains that screw stuff up frequently)
Zoe - Leela (both level-headed and kickass)
Wash - Fry (both kinda daft)
Jayne - Bender (both money-driven and totally heartless, except for wuvving their mommies)
Simon - Zoidberg (Doctors, meh)
River - Michelle (Michelle seems neurotic enough, and has the freezer thing going on too)
Kaylee - Amy (cute, klutsy mechanics. Perfect match!)

Still not sure what the Futurama equivilants of Shepherd Book and Inara would be.. I might just leave them out (suggestions welcome!). But for now, here's Amy...

I feel bad for not posting in such a long while. But there's nothing I can do.

Firefly is unfamiliar to me, but I still think it's a neat idea. The picture of Amy is lovely, I've always liked pencil sketches. But the one of The Professor.. Genius! I get some disturbing images, though, especially about the thingy in his left hand. (For your protection I won't mention that these images are sexually related. Damn, I just did.)

Interesting thing about all this art is that it did a good job of filling up my portfolio when I applied for an animation course.
Naturally there were a few things I didn't include, but the rest looked pretty good in there... so it's been good for something.

There might be a few new things in the works, but I'll start a new thread for them if and when I get around to them. Still have a half-finished picture and a quarter-finished animation knocking around the hard drive somewhere.

KoL did destroy a lot of my free time, yes (about a year of it in fact), but I don't blame the game specifically... I would have only wasted the time somewhere else with my state of mind at the time.

At the moment, booze and girls are at the top of the agenda.
