Jerkbird, that's a helluva lot better than anything you'll ever see from me.  My style is generally known as "stick".  It's surprisingly popular, and rather easy to obtain a finished product in no time.  I highly recommend anyone who considers themselves "non-artists" to give this style a try.

Well i have moved through different styles over the years. At the moment I am trying to use the Groeing style for the heads bout with more human proportions for the body.

Perhaps this pic will help illustrate it. Now admitidly it is not finished and I do need to tweak a few things before I colour it but it should illustrate what I mean (please excuse the pun)

Thats a good style, wu_konguk, I think changing the body shape to something more natural looks a lot better than drawing the heads differently, which often looks weird (no, I'm not a fan of futurama anime).

How do you get the clean lines on your image? Is is done in pen? I draw everything in pencil and the line always looks grainy.

My style is just slavishly accurate groening style, which I sketch very messily, then through a process of rubbing out and redoing somehow end up with a decent image.
Heres a work-in-progress first panel in a comic I started 2 hours ago:

I wish I wasn't so picky, already I want to rub out and redo Leela's lips and Bender's visor.

EDIT: Forgot to mention FuturamaFreak - your style is really fun and funky, one of the best variations around.

what i do is
1. a think of a character then i play that episode and then i get a framegrab for the image i want to draw
2. i draw it
3. i go over the lines in black
4. i colour
5. i capture the frame grab

Wu_konguk - you said Groening style head, and more realistic body, but that one left something in the dark ... four fingers of five?

OPJ - you should do a complete Futurama/Escher crossover ... Futurama characters or Groening-style characters in an Escher-esque scene.  I bet that'd look pretty cool.

Thanx guys, there's a lot of great art and styles in this thread. Yours is really clean and spot-on, wu. As for the Escher thingy, it's a clool idea, and Eschers work is really clool

Loads of variation here.

Um... I do loads of diferent styles. Personally I prefer either full realism(Like this[labarbara])

or full cartoon style (like this[self image. Not one of Matt's])

I have a few, like wu_konguk, I sometimes just draw them more proportionally accurate. Then I'll just draw them true to the show. And when I feel like mixing them up, I draw them in my cartoon/comic book style.

And since comics were mentioned, I also have a random panel from a comic I'm finishing up. For that, I just kept them in the show style.

My Futurama stuff is more or less Groening style, with a few of my own twists.
