As you know, my friend Silvertide has provided you with fan art featuring Futurama characters in their spy form for my SpyOrama spin-off.

Here is some of his works so far:
 http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/Futurama/4-000773-1/

However, Silvertide has told me he's retiring from doing Futurama fan art.  He has only about five more pictures to do and is calling it quits.  He wants to move on and only did fan arts because he liked my SpyOrama idea, but he was very polite about this and I knew about this from the beginning.

He hates to see my ideas go unseen and he feels that my ideas should continue to be shared with fans, but he no longer has the time to do fan arts for me.  It is due to his classes at his art school.  He's still a fan of Futurama, but hasn't the time for commitment.

That is where all you fan artists come in.  I'm asking anyone who's interested in drawing for me and continuing with SpyOrama fan art.

I have many ideas and I wish to share them with other Futurama fans, but I can't draw, and don't intend to try.  I'm imploring people like Germanfryfan, or femjesse to step up and offer your hand in helping to keep my fan art ideas alive.

Germanfryfan- I loved the Anchovie can label you did for AFF.  From one fryfan to another, are you interested in continuing my vision?

I can provide you with details as to how this will go about.

Could you look at Silvertide's work and that should provide you an example as to what I want.  If you are interested still, then I go about this.

I provide you the name of a Futurama character and then tell you who I want that character to parody.  Could be any character from James Bond, or from any other spy movie.  I'd be happy to send you pictures or links to pictures, if you have trouble with finding any pictures.

Ex-  For the Ironfinger picture, I told Silvertide to basically just draw Bender in a tux and he came up with Ironfinger on a desk petting Nibbler and with the pharse, "Evil Starts Here".

There were times when I had to send him photos to gather ideas in trying to parody a look.  For the Zapp, Kif and Michelle, I had to send Silvertide pictures of Merovingian and his wife Persephone from the Matrix, and a picture of The Thin man from Charlie's Angels.  Silvertide was able to produce the Zapp picture based on that.  I also told him on how the characters should express their facial features.

So basically, I'm telling you what to draw, You'll be drawing what I'm thinking.  You are my hands, since my hands stink at drawing. But you also get to provide your own originality and be creative along with it.  Just as long as the characters look exactly like the ones on the show.

If you are willing to draw, I'd be happy to color it to provide time.  Silvertide was only able to draw, and I colored it for him.  I also like to see room on the drawing in providing written information about the characters drawn.

I'm also very private about this.  I don't want people to see the pictures until they are finished and I'm the one who sends the pictures to TLZ and post them on PEEL.  It is so I can provide final judgment of the picture, and make sure it is ready to be sent.  But I do share the credit, so you will get recogniton for the drawing, the same way I gave Silvertide credit.

Those out there who are intertested, please provide me with your emails and I can offer you details, as to what I want.

Thanks for believing in me fellow fryfan  :)

But I think I have to crush your hopes in my personality...

I suck in drawing  :hmpf: all I can do is scanart.  :(

I hope you'll find a new artist, the team-work of Silvertide and you was fantastic and it is sad to hear that he left the Futurama fanbase...

Ooy and Futuramafreak, I've seen both your fan arts at TLZ and I must say, I'm interested in seeing both of you do SpyOrama fan art.

Just one question, what do you think about Silvertide's work?  Do you feel you could live up to it, and maybe improve?

Well, I've never put a pic up on the net, but have been drawing futurama for 5 years now, and prefer designing and drawing new characters (more creative). I'd like to help with a few drawings but I'm no good at colouring stuff in on a PC, only sketching.

The response to this has been huge, maybe we could embark on a big project like a Spyorama comic, with each artist doing a page?

Oh, and you can reach me at markzmith@yahoo.co.uk

Ah, yes! I've got some PEELer heads in the general fan-art thread, and plenty of regular stuff that I can scan right away.  :D I'll probably have some of it up by the end of the day.

Zmithy, you read my mind.  Silvertide and I have just sent our last picture that we did together, to TLZ.  He's doing the four last SpyOrama pictures by himself.  The picture that we did is a mock comic cover of SpyOrama 2, Ironfinger Reloaded.  I have been thinking of wanting to see my out fanfics get turned into comic covers.  James Bond movies were known for their movie posters.  I sort of want to do the same with SpyOrama fanfics.

Also, I like that you said you like drawing new characters, because SpyOrama has new characters.  Maybe, I could use you.  Like I said before, but worry about coloring, I'll take care of that.  Just make sure the look of the drawings matches the that of Futurama.

SPYORAMA FANART LIVES
 http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/Futurama/4-000773-1/#t34

Thanky you zmithy, TLZ now has this picture under your name.  I also have my own section at TLZ that has all SpyOrama pictures.  Zmithy has got the ball rolling.  Let this picture prove to everybody that SpyOrama fan art is still alive.

Also for the people who I sent emails to and plan to send me pictures, please send it in a format in which I can access.  Zmithy sent me this picture in bmp I believe.

It didn't take long to draw, and its fun designing new characters, with the existing ones, if you screw up a piece of them it looks wrong, whereas with new ones, theres no such restrictions, you can just draw without worrying about the angle of a particular lock of hair or something.

Which is a better format for me to send the image in? Bitmap or jpeg? Converting a bitmap to jpeg form smooths it out, but also messes up the quality a little, although I have some HP software that when converting can smooth out the lines without messing up the colour.

I like the coluring on Julius, saves me doing it anyway...

You could always try PNG, it's a very versatile and lossless format. JPG is a great format to shrink a photoquality image's filesize, but it comes at a cost that it's lossy. With PNG, you can return the image back to a BMP with no loss in image, which you couldn't do with JPG without some loss of image being copied to the BMP file. Generally, if the image is photoquality and you want the best compression rate, then JPG is the more effective compression method, but if you want to compress pictures like your own, with few colours, etc, then it's best to use PNG. Doing so should mean no loss of quality and with a smaller file size.

The picture in BMP that Zmithy sent me was perfect, because it makes coloring more quicker than JPG.

So please send me pictures in BMP so I can color them faster.

Zmithy's second SpyOrama fan art he drew.  I've emailed some of the people who wanted to do SpyOrama fan art, but I've received only two responses from the four I emailed.

This is Dogdoo8's fan art that he did.  I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures of his, but he siad he's having computer problems and it would be a long time for him to send me something.

Zmithy, said he's working on another fan art idea I gave him, so he's busy.

I have a cool idea for a SpyOrama fan art, but I have no available artist.  Ooy, YLB, I emailed you both and I haven't heard from both of you that you were up to the task of doing what Silvertide had left off.  Please, let me know, I have this cool idea, but can't get it off the ground.

I'm still looking for a new artist to help with my SpyOrama fan art.  I hope Silvertide's next fan art does attract people's attention.

I have many more ideas for fanart, but Silvertide is only doing one last one.
