I love the detail in the rust on Pirate Bender. Incredible work.

It's the rust from some scrap duct work that was in a dumpster. The same dumpster that Canned Eggs is pointing at in that photo I took of him last New Year's (04-05) when he was here.

Yeah, I heard photoshop's really great for any kind of use. I wanna get it, but I'm sure I'd screw something up. Hope that your Farnsworth art comes out looking great, but I don't think we need to worry about that at all...

Way cool, Cap.  The rust sort of looks iridescent or like it's a reflection of fire, but it seems to "realify" pirate Bender...if that make any sense.

@RIP: kinda a weird thread to choose for that question but oh well...  Yeah the Monster Maniac collection is a good buy, especially if you dont own the whole series.   It's got 4 of the best episodes.  Also, the more people that buy it, the better the chance that F*x will decide to bring back futurama.

Cap'n, I'm trying to look at some of your recent pieces on deviant art, but I keep getting the "forbidden" screen, and I'm told I don't have permission to view them.  I don't get it, I've looked at people's stuff on DA and never been forbidden before.  Did I do something wrong?

Nope. You did nothing wrong. My dA stuff is "in storage" right now
pending the new submisions agreement at dA.
There were a lot of things wrong with it that were not much in the artist's favour and gave away too many rights to dA. A lot of people have left dA over it and completely delted everthing.
Some people (like myself) have their work in hiding, hoping for a better agreement.
Hopefully that will be resolved by this weekend.
