Because the shadows don't seem to be that long in between.

That you took pictures for each single one and cutted just the owls out to paste them into the exact same place is obvious.

When I was working on the roof top one, I noticed that the shadow of the structure with the owl on the top had lengthened around 8 or 9 nine inches by the time I took the last shot. The shadow in the final piece is the shadow from the first pic I took.

Yes, I thought about something along that.

I guess the first picture was when the owl stood on top of that wooden fence panel. At least I think so, because that shadow seems to be there.

It was a hell lot of cut&paste work wasn't it?
Especially because you had to cut out the owls as close to their body as possible, so that you won't be confronted with overlapping. Also you seem to be lucky with the sunlight, wich didn't change and so the shadows managed to stay within the same brightness.
I envy your NYC weather. We got rain, heavy rain!

The owl on top of the structure was not  the first shot.
The owls had different length shadows depending on the direction they were facing.
The Slurm can never moved once.
It got very hot and didn't explode.
Some robot showed up and tried to make off with the Slurm.
I'm working on another one shot in the courtyard of my building.

Wait you got me confused. Is the owl and the can and the back pack real? If so you should of just took the picture infront of a grassy area so you didnt have to do all that work!

Are you DaveMason?

I don't know whether to root for the owls or the slurm can.  I guess the can has the underdog angle.  Plus I have one just like it.

I have another unopened one which I plan on giving away somehow at Nasty's BBQ.
Maybe I'll give it to the best Bender or Professor impersonation. Or something.

You should have taken a panoramic shot of the scenic BQE right under your window.  It's much prettier than some sunset.

If you look very closely at the white van just right of center, you can almost make out the bumper sticker that says, "don't laugh; your daughter could be in here."

Raoul with two ears always bugs me.  Your picture is awesome, of course, as they all are, and I don't want my inane ranting to detract from them, but I never liked that second ear.  It ruined a good joke.

Wow, the Good Book 3.0 is really cool looking with its green Robotoligy sign.

But wasn't originally saved on some digitally media? A 3.5 inch floppy disk.  :p

Got to agree with Nasty here, you are really giving Jesse and Tom some hard competition.

With the exception of the Robot Devil background, all the photos were taken by me.
The Robot Devil background is two seperate photos I found online.
I've got a new version of the same Robot Devil pose, but with a photo of the statue of Andromeda I took at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I've been debating with myself for a few weeks now, whether or not I want to post it.
