Cool I like it, I like how the lips came out (Maybe you could have put a bit of gloss on the bottom lip.. but still) What programme did you use.. looks like open canvas, though I've never used it.. is it anygood?

You have a good eye for programs my friend.

Yeah I used Open Canvas 3 to colour it in. For actually colouring in I find is far superior to any of the other programs I have used (mainly becuase it is the only program I have used that allows you to rotate the canvas while you paint, which I find makes things so much easier).

I am still getting to grips with the program but I do really like. Not to mention that compared to Photoshop it is infintly cheaper.

edit-you are right on the lips as well, the bottom lip should have some gloss as well....dang

Great use of shadows, and, yeah, Leela is nicely looking too.

Though, on a personal note, I liked the "Leela takes a photo of herself from above" picture better. More ponytail.  ;)

No need to work your socks off, because that great picture of yours falls this side of the line. It's not showing anything that the show hasn't shown... well, not much more. So, when and if you want to, send it our way and then relax.  :)

Was that inspired by this Battle Chasers cover? If so, you should credit Joe Madureira.

Wow, great new picture, TheVoices! Sexy, and done fairly tastefully, too... since it was, I'll try to keep my comments tasteful (so I'll refrain from using the phrase "creams in pants"  :p) and just say that it's an amazing picture. Keep it up!

Hmm.. what downloads do you talk of?
You may download the pictures posted here, but you should ask the crerator's permission before you use it somewhere else, like on websites.

If you think of downloading and posting download links to illeagal stuff, such as music, episodes or software, on Peel, then I have to say that this is forbidden.

Actually, that "inspiration", if it ever was one, is a fairly regular pose for titilating artwork. Any knowledgeable artist would know of such a pose and its previous usage in photography and other artwork. I'm afraid that the credit, if it ever is needed in this case, goes way back in time.

I didn't say that the picture I posted was definitely the inspiration, so please don't act like I did. I was just asking, because the pictures have some similar details, and I can't remember seeing that pose elsewhere, though maybe I haven't seen many titillating pictures.

Don't worry, I didn't say you did say that it was definitely the inspiration for The Voices' work. See, this is getting complicated already.  ;) Your question was a valid one to ask. I was merely pointing out that the similar picture you posted may owe its pose elsewhere in history; that it was a pose that would be in a few artists' minds. Anyway, I hope I've made things a little clearer now.  :)

Well as flattered as I am that you took the time to colour one of my drawings. To be blunt, you don't have permission to make a wallpaper from it. Only I make wallpapers from my images, and no one else is allowed to touch them without my permission.

I think maybe I should start adding on the old copyright onto my images because of the amount of emails I've been getting, requesting larger res images to print off, to use as things like cards and posters (Mainly my space one) Which leads me to believe that some people may already be doing that with the larger images I post.

So that's who drew it! I saw a similar picture a while ago (minus all the writing) And thought it would be a good idea for a pose. The pose wasn't directly copied though, because i didn't have the picture to work from just the memory of it, which is why some parts are quite different. Now I know the artist I will of course credit him.

Well I was working on an edited version but I've been ill so it's not been done, but if you think the original is okay I'll send that.

Also, thanks for all the replies.. there's been quite few, maybe I should draw Leela naked more often. Anyway, I have to get back to my bronchitis.

Well, really, you don't have permission to draw the characters in the first place. I'm not sure, but I don't think there's anything you can do to stop people from using your pictures, aside from asking them not to.

What programs did you use for this one? it looks more vector based than some of your other works.

Done entirely in Photoshop CS, using the paths tool.. the single most annoyingly tedious tool ever created.

I worked on it over about 5 days. It's still not finished, but it was driving me insane, so I decided not to bother adding the buttons I was going to put on his head. I attempted them twice but they just didn't look right. I'm very pleased with the sub and speakers though.

Yeah, I didn't think a more painted approach would match with the subject so I went with sharp, clean lines instead.

Ahh I see. I have Photoshop 7 and I find the path tools in that very annoying to use (the bezier curves in Paintshop are so much easier to use).

I can alos see why you choose to use vectors for this piece. Awesome stuff it is too.

Got that right! At work, I do that kind of work in Illustrator, then re-open in Photoshop to make the rastered vesion if needed.
Blowing us all away with your fantastic renderings as usual!

Hahaha, that Bender's fabulous!
Vectors are great, I've always thought of them as futuristic-looking (if done in a certain way). You created that look in that picture, which I love. And the gradient highlights on his arms and legs (especially his right arm) look really good, making him smooth and metallic. Awesome. Awesome to the max!
