Who watches it? You know I do. Last night was the funniest episode ever! Frylock warned Shake about the broodwich but didn't listen. I laughed when he gave it to Meatwad.

I love that show. But why is the DVD so expensive?

At first I saw it and I thought "wow, 20-something dollars. Not bad". But thinking about it a little more, that's only 13 episodes. And the episodes are only 11 minutes long. That's kinda crappy. Are the special features good?

ATHF is one of the funniest shows on TV.  Master Shake is Cartman but as a shake.  Meatwad is also funny.  I saw the Broodwich yesterday and I laughed my ass off at the end of the episode.

The Broodwich episode has to be the best episode so far.

It's a great show.  I've seen episodes every now and then over the past few years, but I got really hooked when Adult Swim started playing them back to back during the week.  Since they played them in order, I was able to tape them all.

I guess the DVD is a little expensive for what you are getting, but I still think it's worth it.
There are 16 episodes in the volume 1 set.  Why they didn't go ahead and include the final two episodes of season two I don't know.  Those are on the volume 2 set that just came out.

I love the show, and i'm currently trying to get my friends and family hooked on it. But it aint as easy as Family Guy or Futurama.

I'm continually surprised by the hysterical dialogue and just how damn weird the whole thing is. It's so up my alley I can't believe I hadn't hooked into it sooner than I did. ATHF twice a night means I watch too much ATHF, but like any addict I revel in the habit.

Kicked your ass.

Total Re-Carl was also very funny.

Frylock: Carl, do you realize how much water is used when you flush the toilet? ...Three gallons.
Carl: Oh no, the poor children.

Meatwad: We have the technology, we can rebuild him.

Shake: "But look, I mean...is he gonna be able to chase us? `Cuz if I woke up lookin' like that, I would just run toward the nearest living thing and kill it."

Frylock: I give you the ultimate in military hardware! Complete with laser cannon, indestructible titanium exoskeleton, and motion activated plasma pulse rifles.
Shake: And you're gonna plug him in?!?
Frylock: You're right. Damn, what the hell was I thinking?

Bam!

I think my opinion on ATHF has been stated numerous times, in threads that came up when I searched for the above.  There are funny episodes, but so much of it is just random generic crap written by writers that try too hard.  And what is with the CN scheduling?  It seems like they've been replaying the same repeats to death already.  If I have to see the "Cybernetic Ghost..." episode again...grr! (and I actually liked that episode, the first five times I saw it!)

I think I've laughed while watching the show once...no wait, twice. It doesn't make any sense. Does it have a script?

Bottom line is, it's just plain not funny.

ATHF is, quite simply, the funniest thing I've ever seen on TV.

That includes Futurama, BTW. It's better, but ATHF packs more laughs per minute.

They've been running the show in order from first episode to last, then doing it again.  This is OK with me because it allowed me to tape all of the episodes.

For those of you who like toys (that's me), Palisades Toys has purchased the rights to make Adult Swim toys.  This means they are making ATHF toys!  They showed early prototypes recently.  You can see them here, just scroll down the page a little.

The license covers the Williams Street stuff.  Much to my dismay that means no Futurama toys.  frown  According to a post I read from a moderator on Palisades' message boards, they did look into the Futurama license.  Unfortunately, they said the license holder (don't know if it's Matt Groening or fox) wanted too much money.

I've watched a few episodes. On most of them, they never left the freaking house. Yet, it's billed as a group of food items that fight evil (or something to that effect) I've gotten a a couple laughs, but only due to its pure stupidity. *Shrugs* Oh well

Those random puppet shows are completely underrated.  "Left!  Left! Left!  Right! Right! Right!"

Is it just me, bankrupt, or do those Palisiades toys look like complete and utter crap?  Especially the Meatwad, that looks really terrible.  How hard is it to make figures out of what are basically objects with no joints or movement?

They abandoned the premise very quickly, since the only reason they listed that AS the premise is that they actually wanted to sell the pilot.

I've found that those who dislike ATHF most often cite its randomness and lack of any real point as their reasons. Personally, I think the show's charm is its incongruity. It's a cartoon, for christ's sake. Nothing makes sense because nothing has to.

Kicked your ass.

I love ATHF. I've suggested so many Dr. Weird intros at the Adult swim boards ( http://boards.adultswim.com/adultswim/tracker?user.id=257281 )....the show rules.

To be fair, the toys shown there are early prototypes put on display for the San Diego Comic Con.  I don't think they are supposed to be released until 2005, so there's plenty of time for improvement.

I think the Shake figure looks pretty good for an early prototype, but the Meatwad one does look like crap.  I guess they'll have to spend extra time on that one.

It might actually be more difficult to make good figures out of a show like ATHF.  They have to make a good looking 3d figure out of the crude, 2d animation the show uses.  The characters are simple, but the artists have to capture that 2d look in a real world toy.  If the line is successful, I'll be interested to see how they handle the Mooninites.

Nah, the PDA episode is the best -- including the Mooninite episodes -- for only one reason:

The Trenton Tar Pits.

"Hello! This is your captain speaking... I just wanted to let you know, I'm a convicted sex offender."

That guy, his creepy voice, and the whole "ride" is just too funny. It's exactly like the underwater ride at Disneyland in the yellow subs, right down to the cheesy pilot dialogue and even cheesier danger.

Last night's episode was even funnier than the Broodwich one. Where Frylock attached Carl's head to a black man's body. I literally laughed out  when I saw that.

Yeah that episode is hilarious... Where's that damn invisible button?  Oh screw it.

Yeah, the first time I watched ATHF I was like, so they're crime fighters?  And then all of a sudden I'm like... why... aren't they fighting crime?  But the show is just hilarious; my mom hates it and thinks it's stupid though (she does watch Futurama and Family Guy however).  This is your left foot, you're gonna die!  That 666 tv episode was awsome... in fact all in all the show is awsome I can't cite enough things that were hilarious...

I may want to repeal my earlier statements. I watched the two episodes that were on last night, and I laughed a few times. The show is growing on me. I hated it at first, but I think I may eventually be able to beat down and say I like it.

I think that "Interfection" is a brilliant comment on the whole internet advertising phenomenon and ranks right up there with Futurama's own spoofing in "A Bicyclops Built For Two".

They're not actually trying too hard.  It just looks like it because they're high.  You do all understand this, right?  This is a show made by high people for high people. This isn't just an assumption; they drop a lot of hints, and none very subtle either.  All the stoners I know take bong rips before Williams street shows come on.

Funny, because most of the college kids I know who watch ATHF don't get high before it.  I mean, I understand  that the show would probably be funnier if high, but if you're solely relying on stoned kids to laugh at your jokes, then that's just stupid.

And I refuse to believe any ATHF is "brilliant."  It may be good, but "brilliant" is going way too far.

I've never been high while watching ATHF, but I laugh like hell when I watch it.  It's all good.

I picked up the second DVD today at Best Buy.  If you buy it, be sure to look underneath the outside cover.  If you're careful, you can seperate the thin, outside cardboard sleeve from the box the DVDs slip into.  There's a nice picture of Ignignot shootin' the bird on the cover of the inner box.

CN rotates the shows fairly regularly, so this doesn't surprise me.  I think it's a good idea because they've run through they cycle of all the ATHF episodes about 3-4 times now.  They may move it back to being shown daily when the new episodes appear in late August or September.

Yeah this does suck. Sealab isn't as funny as ATHF. The only funny characters are Murphy and Stormy. Everybody is just bluh.

But still, even though I like ATHF a lot more than I do Sealab, it gives me a chance to see episodes of that, since I have both DVD sets of ATHF. (And if you don't, you should)
