Okay, out of the following 3 British contenders of the King of Cringe do you find the most embarassing?

David Brent, granted Alan Partridge is approaching fifty and losing the plot.

David Brent fo' sho'.
He is a fat, dim-witted, sexist, egotistic moron.

But I love him.

You haven't seen Faulty Towers? Shame on you!
David Brent is an embarassing boss of a Slough Paper Company in the Office.

As for Alan, he's a former TV presenter now DJ from Norwich slowly fading from obscurity and not letting go at all.

I voted for Alan Partridge although Basil Fawlty comes a close second, I only saw one or two episodes of The Office.

Seen the first episode? the 'Smell My Cheese' scene was brilliant, the way he fell apart after the bad news.

Brent.  The first episode of the second series  alone nailed him the title.

David. Oh God, he made the show incredibly dificult to watch (in the best possible way).

I've got some weird issues with watching people make total fools of themselves... I can enjoy it, but... oy.
