I discovered the show in the spring of 1991.
I was watching it with my family.  My Mom and Dad only laughed at one episode, then as we got into the series, Hailey (my sister) and I were the only ones laughing.  Then our parents watched it with us to make us feel better, but they lost interest in it only after one episode.  Also, they thought we were obsessed with it.  But we didn't care!  We watched it anyway!

My all time favorite episode was "Manos: The Hands of Fate"!  Man, what a horrid movie!  Hailey's favorite was, "Being From Another Planet" the one about the mummy.  My favorite robot was Crow.  Hailey liked Tom Servo, in fact she even made a replica of Tom Servo out of a gumball machine she got for Christmas.

But in 1994 when Frank died, the show's magic just faded.  It just wasn't the same for us anymore.  Then it got even worse when they changed Crow's voice.  But I'll always like the seasons between '89-'94.

There's already a thread on MST3K:

And in case anyone's wondering, Frank didn't really die, he just left the show.
