If you've never seen Mr. Show, then you really need to buy the DVDs.  Only USA sketch comedy to EVER even come close to the Python gang.  Anyone care to comment.

Bob Odenkirk (Chaz in the Why of Fry and Futurama writer Bill Odenkirk's (Who wrote and acted in Mr. Show)brother) and David Cross (Tobias on Arrested Development and the wheelchair guy in Scary Movie 2) created this brilliant sketch show, which didn't have the limits of mediocre US Sketch Shows (coughsnlcough), and truly made it's mark in tv history.

I love Bob Odenkirk and David Cross, yet I've never seen Mr. Show. I never had HBO and I'm too cheap to buy DVDs.

Didn't they make a movie at some point? Is that any good? Maybe I'll rent it.

The Movie sucks, but for someone who's never seen Mr. Show, it's perfect (It also is pretty good considering the state of comedy movies out there), and features cameos from Ben Stiller, Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Kathy Griffin, Dave Foley, a hilarious song from Jack Black (Who was a Mr. Show cast member in Season 1), Andy Richter, Jeff Garlin, and a hilarious bit with Jeff Goldblum.  But I definitely recommend spending 30 bucks (Cheaper than most) for the 2 DVD Releases (They released the 1st 2 seasons together, then Season 3, and Season 4 is out in September)

Wow, so Sarah Silverman has nothing to do with Mr. Show? Awesome! I will definitely check out those DVDs.

Well she appears in little bit parts in certain sketches in 4 or 5 episodes (Nothing Major), and she has 1 scene in the movie, so be not afraid.

George Meyer is good friends with Odenkirk and Cross and actually makes a brief appearence in it.  Brian Posehn from Just Shoot Me and Paul Tompkins are also cast.

@Syevedude530: Dude, use the edit button next time you forget something. I know you know how too, because you edited Sara out of your previous post. You should never double post.

I've only seen a few skits from Mr. Show, but I've enjoyied what I've seen so far. From what I've heard, it's not the best sketch comedy show of all time, but it probably falls in the top 10.
