I liked Ms Crabtree dying. Honestly, what was the last episode she was in before they killed off? 'Simpsons Did It'?

Oh god, don't start with this again...

That was my least favorite episode of Season 8. Apart from the angry hicks, it was shit.

We had enough of that before. I'd like to change the topic to the ultimate bad guys: crab people.
I just downloaded 'South Park Is Gay' over the weekend, and saw it for the first time. I can't get enough of the kick arse crab people. "Nooo, our evil plan... ooohh..."

Hey hey, kids!

Die, Hippie, Die

Cartman warns the citizens of South Park that it will only be a matter of days before the town becomes the Hippie Capital of the World. No one will believe him until they find out the hippies plan to stage a weeklong music fest. The town has no choice but to turn to Cartman for help. He then puts his plan to eradicate his lifelong enemies in motion.

I can't help but think that this may be a little too close in plot to "Passion of the Jews." Maybe not, though. It would be good if half of the episode was dedicated to Cartman's plan. (kind of like Ocean's 11)

This exact same question was asked in the FAQs at South Park Studios - they say both, there is more than one verse.

I'm saddened by all of this, since SP was abandoned after season 1 over here... "How ridiculous is that?", I might ask. And you answer: "Dude, that's pretty f***ed up right there!" The only things I have seen after that have been the odd episode I stumbled upon on Kazaa (the only p2p program I can use through the school firewall). I know nothing of Mrs. Garrison, Mr. Kwong, Mrs. Crabtree or mostly anyone else for that matter.

South Park in the states is Comedy Central's #1 show. I can imagine it prospering in just about any country, why would they cancel it after one season?

Wow. Just wow.

"Die hippie die"

Absolutely hilarious. Okay, now after 2 awesome episodes this season, South Park officially has my full attention.

Die, Hippies, Die!

This just finished airing over here, and I have to say, it was better than I expected. I liked all of the typical hippy jokes, especially the elderly woman's home infestation. ("Dude! How did I get in here?!" ) The hippy drill driving through the crowd was awesome, as was the live-action hippy footage, and it was great to see Officer Barbrady and the Mayor back for once. Yet, somehow, the episode felt a tiny bit lacking to me.

9/10

Good stuff. This was a great parody of The Day After Tomorrow and other disaster movies.   :p I love it when they spoof movie genres. Looks like Mrs. Garrison is here to stay. It was a bit formulatic, especially the funny, but typical South Park ending where Cartman beats out Kyle. I'll give it a 7/10.

Enjoyed it. At first it seemed like they wasted a chance to do a "Ghostbusters" spoof, but the action/disaster movie stuff ("The Core" I think?) was great. Laughed or at least chuckled the whole time. The hippies in the episode were basically like a lot of the people I'm around all the time (mostly at school), and while I don't hate them, I enjoyed the spoofing. B+

As a note though, some of this episode makes more sense if you've been following a recent scandal here. A University of Colorado (as seen on one of the hippie bumper stickers) professor wrote an essay after 9/11 calling many of the people in the WTC towers "little Eichmans" (hence the recurring line) that in his opinion helped bring about the attack. Someone more recently found the essay and objected I guess, so its been a big controversy.

This episode was pretty mediocre. There wasn't really anything too funny and while some of the points made were very good(like how the festivals aren't actually doing anything), they seem to think nobody in an average town is corrupted by greed.

But I'm giving this a 0/10 because they called Slayer a death metal band.

I think kyle's speech at the festival might have changed from the 10pm EST showing of the new episode from the 12am EST showing of the same episode. I could be wrong.

The new episode suck anyway. It was way too silly.

I was so paranoid someone important would die tha episode, First the Mayor, the Chef, and for a split second I almost thought Cartman was going to die during that period where he was preparing to sneeze.

The End of Pre-School is hilarious.

Can some explain the reference with the Disabled Pre-School teacher? It happened in Futurama as well and I want to know what movie this stuff came from.

Does anyone know when Die, Hippies, Die! will be on again?  I missed the first showing wednesday and I tried looking it up on the comedy central web site and tvguide.com, but because of the Jeff Foxworthy Roast it doesn't seem to be coming on this weekend.

I've finally watched all the existing episodes (season 1 to season 9) up to Die Hippy, Die, awesome, every one of them.
RealMedia files kick ass (when they're not being played in RealPlayer   :D ).
