I dont know about best death.

Best action scene: Ghost in the shell:SAC, episode 20 or 21, the first time Motoko and Batou encounter a battle-armour suit. Amazing animation, great action, and the end where she takes the heavy machine gun with her crippled body, and the music, it was just.... unbe-f**king-lievable!

1 of my favorite movies deaths of time came from "American History X" when the Skinhead tells the guy to bite down on the curb... then he stomps the guys head causing it break in two. Wow! disturbing... but great.
