There are various other threads about this, I'm too lazy to post them but someone else is bound to.
Also you didn't give options for 'other'.

also, he deserves to be shot for:
    • getting some names wrong
    • mixing futurama and the simpsons
    • making this thread
    • no reason not mentioning Sigourney Weaver!

I doubt they really got Hawking. They probably just used the Synthesiser.

I don't think that there is anyone who really cares about spelling mistakes.  Its a msg post not an assesment item.

Well with out the Simpsons there would be no Futurama. Had Matt Greoning not made The Simpsons become so successful then he would not have been able to fund or make Futurama.

Gocad!  Stop picking on the ten year-olds.  He obviously knows more about this message board than you.

At any rate, I've never been a big fan of guest stars playing themselves.  Stars playing thier own heads doesn't bother me as much.  Maybe it's because they're less central to the plot when they're just disembodied heads.

Dan Castenelata was my favorite guest star on Futurama, while I think either Dustin Hoffman or Sam Neill were my favorites from The Simpsons.

Gary Gygax, Futurama EP 2ACV16 Anthology of Interest 1.

Also, mixing Simpsons with Futurama - a big 'No-No'.

The x-files simpsons episode was good, I could go with that.  However Leonard always does a good job when he guest stars (on either show)...  And he was on the springfield files episode soooo....  Hmmm, I just really like that episode.

that is stephen hawking which seems a tad pointless as they could do his voice without him. apparently he is a big fan of the simpsons so i guess he liked futurama too.

@winna: Nimoy's had what, four guest appearances on both shows. He must be a huge fan. Is that the most from a (well-known) celebrity?

You shouldn't have made it a poll, as there are far more than eight guest stars on Futurama and The Simpsons. I liked Dan Castellanata for the robot devil.

And by someone, he means me.

Here's a thread about Futurama guest stars.

And here's one about the worst Simpsons guest stars.  I don't think we have one for the best Simpsons guest stars, but we don't really need one.  There are enough Simpsons threads already.

Not if you count celebrities who play recurring characters on The Simpsons.  Kelsey Grammer (Sideshow Bob) and Joe Mantegna (Fat Tony) have both been on more than four times.

Ah, yes, Kelsey Grammar and Joe Mantegna, and I just remembered Phil Hartman as well. They all played recurring characters.

And shame on me for not mentioning Phil Hartman.

Also, George Takei has probably been on The Simpsons at least as many times as Nimoy has.
