FOX has a new show Meth and Red.   I liked them in "How High" and from what I've seen on the promos it looks alright.

If it involves mainstram rappers getting high off their asses, it's pretty safe to say this show's going to suck ass and haunt us forever.

Oh dear god! If what you say is true LampIncident, then the apocolypse has begun! Stock up on water and gas masks people!

Now that thats over, just what is this show going to be about? Other than rappers that is.

On network TV, they probably won't be allowed to get high.  They'll learn about the facts of life instead.  Plus, these guys do like Right Guard commercials.  I'm not optimistic.

I think it's safe to say that unless something exceptional, inspiring and revolutionary happens in this show, I'll never see it.

My brother and I think the same thing about this show: it'd be a good movie. TV show? Ehh, that's stretching it a little thin.

It sounds... strange.

I agree with Zilcho. It's not really TV series material.

Er... so it's like uber-watered down rap stuff. Which means fun stereotypes for all!
Oh, and rich white guys next door? Ho-HO! I'm betting TV producer's all over the world are kicking themselves for never having thought of that one before!

Still... we'll see.

[smartass]They didn't. This is a summer series on a Wednesday. As far as I know, Futurama never had that spot.[/smartass]

This show could be bad, but it could also be terrible. The concept is so tired, and it just doesn't seem like it could support an entire season. (let alone any more)

The concept couldnt support a fucking miniseries let alone a season.

this show looks like a freaking steriotypical waste of time!  I will never watch it.  what about that guy who said they should give fruitcake to middleaged white people, because "man, white people love that stuff."?  you can tell from the promos that it's a peace of crap.  my father say it's the new stepandfechit.  anyone old enough to know what that means, post it hear.

We need more TV shows/movies with music. You know, good music, not shit. Basically, like a show setting. About a bunch of people who live in a one-bedroom apartment that barely has running water playing shows in front of nobody but the other bands in somebody's kitchen.

I agree we need more TV shows and movies about music, but this rap show is just too f*cking much. Make Spinal Tap the TV show and I'll be a happy man.  :)

Chappelle's Show is on cable, so the can take stuff as far as the advertisers will allow them. If it's OK with advertisers, they can basically do anything they want save porno.

Method and Red is on a network, they're more limited because they're censored by the government. It's stupid, but that's the way TV works in America. Forcast calls for an 85% chance of crap.

We don't need a TV show or even a movie for this. That's what Friday was about. Especially on network TV for reasons stated above. I'd put bets on 4 weeks.

I say the first episode last night and I must say it had its moments.  Though I wish they had just made this idea into a movie, the bleeps of certain curse words ruined some scenes.

If this series makes it to season 2 I'll be impressed, but I'm planning viewing this show for cheap laughs and also I have nothing to watch Weds at 9:30.

So start watching South Park. Unless you don't have cable. I find Wednesday is the best night for TV.

I watch South Park on Weds at 10, and I know about the 9:30 airing, but I find Method and Red to be very interesting for a show involving mainstram rappers getting high off their asses.

Here's an article about how Method not liking the way FOX is treating the show.
