I saw American Dad last night.  It was hilarious!  I loved the parts where the girl Steve dates introduces 'Jewel' to them and Toshi shouts, "Godzilla"!  Plus, I liked the raccoon and Roger dressed up all 'gangsta' to date Jewel!  Also, I liked how The Little Mermaid got killed!  I hate that movie!  I had to watch it once when my sister and I were babysitting our little cousin.

Plus, I was surprised to see Roger leave the house in disguise while Steve was dating that girl.  Great episode!

'Gangsta'?  He was dressed like a Jamaican.  There were even several jokes about the fact that he was dressed as a Jamaican, for people like you who were too stupid to be able to tell.

Oops, sorry my mistake.

Anyway, since there's been talk of opinions about the FOX Sunday night lineup, here's what I think it should be:

7:00-8:00 King of the Hill (2 episodes back to back.)
8:00 Family Guy
8:30 Futurama
9:00 American Dad

Now that would be 'Animation Domination'!   ;)

Is it just me or does the racoon seem like a ripoff of Peter's chicken nemesis?

How about this for Animation Domination?
7:00-King of the Hill
7:30-King of the Hill if NFL overlays episode at 7/The Simpsons if KotH didn't get overlay or a switch between the two.
8:00-The Simpsons
8:30-Family Guy
9:00-Futurama
9:30-American Dad

How 'bout just 8-9:30?  :p I can't stand KotH. I like your lineup i_c, but I always thought of putting the two Groening and the two MacFarlane show together. On the other hand, Futurama deserves the best primetime slot; 9:00 PM.  :D

Speaking of American Dad.  Since the show is joining the 'Adult Swim' lineup, does this mean it will be on TBS as well?

Not really. Those are two different channels, owned by the same company. Though it is probable to happen, it may be a month or two until that happens. If they choice AmD over Futurama to put at a prime time opening, I'd be disappointed in TBS.

On the 7:00- Futurama Septuple Bill thing, it would only be a Futurama Sextuple Bill, since 10 is local Fox station news.

Wow, quite possibly that was the best episode ever. It worked so well, and they finally developed Roger the alien beyond a set of effeminate one liners.

wow i wish we had american dad and the new family guy and king of the hill screen in australia, ive had to see episodes of american dad which a mate showed me.. i must say, one of my favourite jokes from AD is when Steve decides to rename the word Period to Steve
Student 1: Im thinking of cutting first steve, are you in?
Student 2: Yeah sure as long as im back before fourth steve
Teacher: So if its a statement it should always be followed by a steve.
Girl: Mr Philips, may i be excused? im having my steve

also all the one liners.. theyre great.

I have to agree.  This show has gotten progressively less awful with each episode.

The fact that Patrick Stewart provides the voice of what seems to be a reccuring character both impresses and horrifies me, though.

Screw the news!

As for the episode, it was quite good. I'm glad AD's getting better and funnier.

I feel that it's funny that nobody has commented on this week's episode. Personally, I saw most of it, and I thought it sucked. The cutaway with the electrical guy was sooo stupid and long. Also, the terrorist gag got old. I give it a rating of sucky.

While I've only managed to stomach two or three episodes of American Dad, it certainly seems like they're toning down the fish. He's received a lot less time than any other of the characters. I suppose the writers realized what a crappy character he is and are gradually phasing him out.

Speaking of Klaus the fish, does anyone notice he talks like Col. Klink from Hogan's Heroes?  Is that who Seth McFarlene probably tailored him after?  Or Sgt. Shultz maybe?

I thought the electrician thing was unfunny and stupid. It felt like it went on for too long. The carrying out of the plot was odd. I didn't like the episode at all. I'll give it a 1 out of 10. The 1's just because I want to be nice today.

This week's episode was actually pretty good. Not great, but good. It's too bad 'American Dad' is so inconsistent with it's episodes. One week it's good, the next week, it's bad.
Having said that, this week's episode actually made me laugh outloud. I don't think I've ever done that since watching the preview episode way back in January. The scenes that made me laugh outloud was the beginning when Stan kept running over those people while driving to the church, and when he acted like he was possessed by the devil at the end.

My rating: 8.0/10.0

They've been too consistent, consistently average, except for the pilot and "roger codger".

This may be me but the fish is hardly credited in the episodes. He has two lines and then he's kicked out. Family Guy gave credits to everyone. Especially Brian and Stewie. Not that I like the fish though.

Yeah, the fish is there just to make smart remarks to Roger, but not on the level of Stewie and Brian.

I wouldn't be suprised if they phased Klaus out completely.

I think that both Family Guy and American Dad are rip offs of The Simpsons. I like Family Guy though. It's American Dad that's getting on my nerves. It's seems so very oddly familiar.

American Dad was Seth MacFarlane's way of getting something similar to Family Guy back on the air. Of course, it has different characters and background, but everything is basically the same.
(This of course is just my opinion, since I think American Dad is basically a carbon copy of Family Guy. I know alot of people who are Family Guy fans that hate or don't care for American Dad.)

When I first saw American Dad, there was this one scene when Steve (anyone even know who he is?), is in a cafeteria with his friends. One of them looked exactly like Peter, only a teengage version. At first I thought what the hell was Peter doing there. Then I realized it wasn't him.

I think of American Dad as a rip-off of Family Guy. But then again, it is done by the same guy.

But I don't think of Family Guy as a rip-off of The Simpsons. Sure, both the dads are dumb, but that's where the simularities end.
