Alien was a good franchise but today it seems that they always rush the script and film out to a deadline - which I find a shame as it'll have the same appeal as the mass produced shit on shelves and just like the chances you get in a lottery to win so are the chances that'd we'll all get a film that is actually quite good.
Being a fan though, I will still probably enjoy it but only as long as they don't make it a 12a or a 15 rated movie in which case I'd rather wait until its out on terrestrial TV.

@Grim - I never got off my arse to go see that movie although I really wanted too as I was always to yonug to go see an Alien movie at the cinema.
Mind you know, now that I've seen the directors cut I still prefer the original edit of the movie.
