Am not! Though I whole heartedly agree with you about Resurrection, I should provide at least a token defence for Alien 3. *defends* There. That oughta do it.

No, it's going to have a completely oiginal plot as far as I know. Gocad: What I want to know is, what's the excuse for the Aliens being on Earth... It's something like they're frozen in the polar ice caps or something? Edit: Nevermind, it's their buried in ancient pyramids and Weyland discovers them.

As for Alien Resurrection, that was a good film, sure the story was a bit average in places, but overall it was pretty good. It is deffinatly the most stylistic of the Alien films. That underwater chase sequence is breath taking. And if u have seen any other films by the director of Resurrection (Juenet), you'll understand, 'Delicatesson' & 'City of the lost Children' From best to worst Alien Films (1. best & 4 worst) But they are all good films & u can't argue with that. 1. Aliens (James Cameron) 2. Alien Resurrection (Juenet) 3. Alien (Ridley Scott) 4. Alien 3 (David Fincher)

I've seen City of Lost Children. I say that his style didn't transfer well over to the Alien's universe at all. Plus there were some very dumb lines. It coulda used more BLAU, also. (Didn't that guy also do Amelie? Meh. All Frogs are the same to me. )

Aliens really Arent as Dangerous as they seem. The Marines just got their asses kicked because of an Incompetent commander, unfortunate circumstances. If the marines knew what they were doing in those specialised circumstances they could have come out on top. If you can keep from Completely Engaging with the Xeno's then it shouldnt be all that difficult to kill a few live for more. Something which predators are very good at doing.
Besides all that. As a function of Natural selection Aliens dont have a very good chance. They are so Dangerous that you know not to try and take them on you just nuke the Planet and be done with it. Sure its a horrible price but the Humans would technically win.
And you all know my opinions on Alien ressurection. It sucked because Joss Whedon was involved.

Yes but you would be less willing to with another species because you would be more confidant that you could deal with it conventionally.
Containment is the best policy with the Aliens. Cut em off, dont chase after them.

And then you watch Alien3 : Directors cut and find out that they do indeed catch the alien and lock it in that big room only for a loony prisoner to release it a bit later on.
I'd like to see an facehugger take a predator down and then see the resulting alien popping out of its chest, it could be quite a nasty crossover for both the marines and predators.

SPeaking of, how does their skin hold the acid in? perhaps a similar principle to acid in a glass jar? I guess its either run or outsmart them. Well i think its safe to say, that if you are in a room surrounded by aliens, your up shit creek and you better think of something fast!

Also, Predator seems to have all these high tech. gadgets. have you played the game? You'd know that the alien is far superior to the predator. I've taken on MANY players who thought the predator was the big guy on campus, and I wiped my ass with every single one of them- in both AvP, AvP Gold and AvP ][... Invisibility only gives an advantage when they're up against humans, and their gadgets are fancy and all, but that's of little real use against a sneaky lone alien. The ones in Aliens seemed like mindless "on with it" types, and they would be fairly easy to defeat, but the ones in Alien and Aliens (and some of the ones in A: Resurrection) were smart and sneaksy.

My prediction: The movie will suck. hmmm....going by the title u would think that it will suck adn or be a flop @ the box office, and i have my doubts as well, but it was the director of Event Horizon and that was a pretty cool movie, so i wouldn't write it off, just yet.

I dont think it will do that bad, the games had a large following and Alien Director's Cut did pretty well in cinemas last year and it was a 25 year old movie
