This can be really funny.  It's one of those bizarre Japanese game shows you always hear about, so visually there's always something wacky going on, but the English dialogue is good too.  I hear there's a new season (or a new batch of dubbed episodes) but I haven't seen it.

By the way, the guy identified as Vic Romano is in fact "Beat" Takeshi Kitano, star of Battle Royale and the new Zatôichi movie.

Did anyone see the new hour long special tonight? A little strange since some of it was old footage and most was new. Anyway... it is a kind of show that could be redone in the US. There are enough idiots (including me) that would go on it.

My sister and brother-in-law love Takeshi's Castle.  Me, I prefer Iron Chef for some reason...

MXC seemed funny the first few times I watched it, but then I just got bored of watching Chinese people fall on their asses. It wasn't even painful looking most of the time. It's no America's Funniest Home Videos.

I love Takeshi's castle. MXC is the same thing only severely americanized, but it has it's moments (Like the guy from team Aerospace: "Ilikegum! Iwon Iwon!" )

Funny how "Tasheki's Castle" was all Chinese people when it was a Japanese game show...

EDIT: But seriously, MXC rules...
Oh, and did you know it got tagged TV-PG?

Yeah, I was surprised too.

I like this show. If it's on, I watch it. But I don't go out of my way to watch it, mostly because I have no idea when it's on.

How was the Tony Hawk thing? It sounded kinda lame. Lousy americans.

It was actually quite did-some masterful editing on that show to make it look like tha 80's and the 2004's were the same period...and if they ran out of tasheki's castle eps, they could always just build another set and tour colleges-it'd be a national hit.

I've been saying that. I really think there are enough dipshit frat boys (including myself) that would do these stupid things. I think I would be a hit for Wall Bangers, to see a fat kid plow into a wall.

I'd do it, if I wasn't on blood thinners and had an artificial heart valve and artificial pacemaker...
