I heard that Endor was originally supposed to be the moon of the Imperial capital planet (later called Coruscant).  They changed that idea but for some reason kept calling it a moon even though it doesn't seem to orbit anything.

And you run like a girl. You want more or do you have any Star Wars-ish things to add to this thread?

I have a tiny bit: Why is there the same gravity on all planets in the galaxy? (except from Geonosia)

Favourite Villain- Darth Vader. I have read a bit about Thrawn, but I'm not that much into EU (haven't read a lot of it) so I'll go for Vader.

Favourite Jedi- Yoda is my favourite, just seems like the perfect example of what a Jedi should be to me.

Vehicle- TIE Interceptor, the Defender is proably better but a tad too overpowered. The speed and nice look of this ship make it a favourite of mine.

Warship- The Executor, for its sheer size.

Race- Jawas. Don't ask me why but I just love Jawas.

Planet- I do like Hoth, although Tatooine is very nice too.

Another question though, is what is your favourite piece of Star Wars music crafted by the musical-maestro John Williams? I think the Imperial March is great, but I very much like the music accompanying the Luke-Vader duel in RotJ.

There isn't.  It's just the habitable planets that have the same gravity.  Planets with lower gravity can't really hold onto much of an atmosphere, and planets with higher gravity would be tough to survive on just because of the higher gravity.  There are planets with different gravity, but we never see them, because people don't go there.

Of course I maent every inhabitable planet...
BUT- that would requier them all to have pretty much the same mass, and since we clearly get the impression that some are larger than others, this seems both strange and impossible. Also, the asteroid where the Falcon landed inside the space slug seemed to have Earth gravity- noone can explain that, can they?
(and so far, we have ssen one planet with lower gravity- Geonosia. That's what causes the spectacular geological formations and enables the Geonosians to fly a lot easier)

You might find out by tellingus which bit of which film it's in?
Of the newer ones I'd say Across The Stars, On the Conveyor Belt (short as it is) and Duel of The Fates
Oldskool I'd say Battle of Endor I, Final Duel, Rebel Fleet and of course, Victory Celebration from ROTJ.  :D

The Imperial March is the best John Williams music in the Star Wars movies, but the 'Rebel Attack' music in 'Return of the Jedi' sounded really good too.

Adding to list:
Favourite Planet: Kamino
Favourite Rebel: Red Ten, from 'A New Hope'. He shouldn't have died.

Favourite Villain- Darth Vader. The best villian with Palpatine coming in a close second.

Favourite Jedi- Obi wan, he was so wise and was a pretty good lightsaberer.

Vehicle- The TIE fighters with all their different designs.

Warship- The Star Destroyers, I don't know why but I've always liked them.

Race- Do droids count? I love the different droids
Planet- probably Bespin, it's where the first Luke/Vader duel took place.

Strange, but not impossible.  Planets of different sizes could have the same mass if they have different densities.

Well, you've got me there.  I'd chalk it up to lack of special effects at the time.

Actually, I'm surprised that Lucas didn't try to "fix" that in the special edition, by having Greedo shoot at the asteroid first, or by having Han step on the space slug's tail.

If i did this i would class droids as a different category, oh what the hell.

favourite villain - i'd have to agree with starone, Darth Vader
favourite jedi - Yoda, the puppet from the original films from the original films.
vehicle - Boba Fett's slave I.
Warship - The Executor; Vader's flagship.
Race - Definetly wookies, why did they have to kill off Chewie?
droid - RD-D2 because he's so damn cute.
planet - Hoth, because of all the cool indigenous wildlife like the Taun-tauns.

Heres a new one - most annoying character, i'd have to say its a tie between Jar Jar Binks and little Anakin "laser-sword" Skywalker, grrr...

Crappiest character: Jar-Jar, Episode 2's 3PO, Tiny Anakin whenever he actually does something- podracing, flying that Naboo Starfighter- "laser sword"...
Favourite planet: Coruscant- it looks too cool.
Favourite droid: IG-88- the insane psycho-killer bounty huntin' experimental droid. Or maybe CZ-4...

Yeah.  It's also strange how it's set in the past, yet it contradicts things that happen later.

Instead of making prequels, Lucas should have just made film adaptations of Timothy Zahn's novels.

My favourite droid is the IG-88 (at least the one you see in 'The Empire Strikes Back'), those droids really kick arse. I read a bit of background on them and heard that there were only a few. But an IG-88 could easily take on a battle-droid or two (the normal ones at least) from what I've heard.

IG-88 is probably the strongest droid in the Star Wars history, but the droidekas (Destroyer Droids) were very cool to look at. They could totally kick Jedi's ass.   ;)
