No - ABC and Showtime are currently in discussion with Arrested Development's producers about picking up the show, but nothing's been officially announced yet.

And Michael Cera and Alia Shawkat are great, what the hell are you talking about? I'd rather have a realistic and interesting character of a teenager who's relatable and funny than an annoying bratty teenager like in most shows.

Good Grief is a great episode... With a lot of Season 2 though, episodes seem a bit rushed and strange the first time you watch them, and you can't really appreciate them until you've re-watched them multiple times. That was the case with quite a few episodes, namely The One Where They Build a House and Amigos.
My favourite Season 2 episodes are Good Grief, Spring Breakout and The Righteous Brothers. Ready, Aim, Marry Me is severely underrated, too. "To the nuts!"

yeah I agree. when I first saw the kids on this show i was surprised because the girl wasn't the average anorexic dyed blonde actress that you normally see on shows (only her mom is hehe). i like her funky hair it suits her i think. i do have a minor annoyance with her pics on the season 2 dvd. whereas the other actors were portraying themselves on the dvd cover, it seemed like the actress that plays maeby was portraying more of herself than the actual character of maeby. did anyone feel that? i think she looked great on the season 1 dvd cover though. when did they take those pics for the dvd covers? i also love Good Grief. great episode btw, anyone notice how Arrested isn't on next Monday? It is being replaced with the 2 hour season premiere of 24...I understand that show has a lot of viewers...but sorry I'd take Arrested over 24 any day...

AD's now become a "backup show" for Fox, meaning they'll only put it on when they've got nothing else. I wouldn't expect to see the last 4 episodes any time soon... Although oddly enough, word on The O.P. forums has it that a key grip for the show says that proudction on a new season will be beginning in July. Here's the thread, make of it what you will... And Randi, I don't know about Season 2, but I think the Season 1 cover pictures were taken from a promotional image they did for the show with all 9 characters standing in a mock police line-up. Here's a wallpaper of it.

If by a "Good Grief" styled avatar, you mean one of the sad Peanuts walks from that episode, then yes, quite a few people have those. Though my avatar is officially the greatest. Anyway, news on the last 4 episodes of Season 3: Fox will be airing them as a 2-hour long special on Friday, February 10. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Contact: Shannon Ryan

SPECIAL TWO-HOUR SEASON FINALE EPISODE OF
“ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT” TO AIR FRIDAY, FEB. 10, ON FOX
Justine Bateman, Judge Reinhold Guest-Star
A two-hour season finale episode of ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT will air Friday, Feb. 10 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
In the season finale, George Sr. hires a new attorney who asks the Bluths to participate in a mock trial to help prepare them for the real thing. The attorney gets actor Judge Reinhold to preside over the mock case. Meanwhile, Buster fakes a coma to get out of testifying and George Michael and Maeby participate in a mock wedding to entertain hospital patients. Back at the office, Michael discovers he may have a long-lost sister named Nellie Bluth (Justine Bateman). In an effort to get to the bottom of things, Michael tracks down Nellie and hires her as a consultant for The Bluth Co. Unfortunately, Michael discovers Nellie’s hands-on approach is more than he bargained for. Meanwhile, Gob goes to Iraq to perform his Christian magic act on the USO tour and ends up incarcerated. Michael learns George Sr. sent Gob to Iraq to burn down the model home he built there, so Michael and Buster fly to Iraq to spring Gob from prison. Together, the Bluth brothers head to the model home, where they make a discovery that could end the family’s legal troubles forever. Back in Orange County, Lucille decides to throw a yacht party to celebrate. The Bluths gather aboard the Queen Mary for a trip that ends up being far from smooth sailing. ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT is the critically acclaimed series that revolves around Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman), who is doing his best to pick up the pieces and keep his offbeat family from falling apart after his father, George Bluth (Jeffrey Tambor), was locked up for fraud. The show has featured guest appearances by numerous stars, including Charlize Theron, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Liza Minnelli, Zack Braff, Heather Graham and Ben Stiller. This year, the series received 11 Emmy nominations and won for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series. In 2004, the show received five Emmy Awards, for Outstanding Comedy Series, Writing, Directing, Casting and Editing. Earlier this year, Jason Bateman won a Golden Globe for Outstanding Actor in a Leading Role – Musical or Comedy, and the show was nominated for Outstanding Musical or Comedy Series two years in a row. Last season, the cast was also nominated for a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT also took home the TCA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy two years in a row, was named an AFI Program of the Year and received the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Comedy, among other accolades.
ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT comes from Imagine Television and 20th Century Fox Television. Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, David Nevins and Mitchell Hurwitz are executive producers.

How the fuck should I know? I haven't been there long, I don't really know any of the admins or anything. Just register again, Good Grief is a shitty username anyway. Call yourself T-Bag! And I heard about that interview, though apparentally Will said he was just referring to it in past tense since shooting had wrapped up. There's still no guarantee of cancellation, remember - both ABC and Showtime HAVE made offers to air a fourth season if they make one... Keep in mind that the production company will still be Fox, but TV marketing will go to whichever station picks it up, though it's still a matter of whether or not Fox decides to sell the show - they can't do so until it's cancelled though, and they don't have to officially cancel it until May. We could have a long wait on our hands...

no, but i've seen the "stacked" promos where pam anderson's boobs call it a "smart comedy" - does that count?
and i chose GoodGrief not only for the obvious reference but for the shitty treatment FOX gives to all the clever shows it cans. douche chill man

The Chicago Tribune seems to think that Fox saying it's the season finale instead of the series finale means there's still hope for AD. We can always get them with the: "But you said season finale, not series finale! MWAAHAHAHAHA, NOW YOU HAVE TO ORDER A NEW SEASON!!" Fox: Awwww! Damned typo! Everyone: *rejoices*

So you're the staircar guy, huh? You took down our banner... Anyway: From TV Barn: TelevisionWeek (from which I also stole the headline) is reporting that both ABC and Showtime have offered the producers of "Arrested Development" deals to continue the series on their networks. And it's all above board because when Fox reduced this season's order from 22 to 13 episodes, "the reduction triggered a clause in the show's contract enabling producers to shop the series elsewhere," sayeth TVWeek. The producers are said to be "mulling both offers," a one-year deal from ABC and a two-year deal from Showtime, part of the CBS family. Good news, to say the least.
