the episode on wednesday was way to short! 15 minutes of commercials is what it was.

It was funny until everyone started saying "I'M RICK JAMES BITCH!" every opportunity they had. Then it just got stupid.

I love Chappelle and I try not to be annoying when using his catchphrases[but I probably am anyway]. OKAYYY!

It's a great show, and it's not just racist against white people, as AquaSky said. It's racist towards all races equally. I like that it really pushes the limits of TV-14 programming. Although I hate it when people at school yell catchphrases, the other day in the locker room, there were like 15 people in a contest to see who could shout Chappelle's show quotes louder.

I have heard of this show many times from my 'procured' episodes of South Park. I have no idea what it is but I do get annoyed by the guy who does the voice over for it, especially when he starts talking and the episode isn't even finished. What do they do in it anyway?

It's a stand up comedy/sketch show with Dave Chapelle. It's really funny, watch it next time it's on.

There's a complete sketch from the show on the region one DVD of South Park Season 3. Comes on here in Canada on Saturday nights, good show.

WHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?
OOOOOOOKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?

seriously...jump off a cliff Dave Chapelle. You are the most horrible human being on the planet.

I'm not even sure if any black people watch the show, though I know it's their target audience. The show has reached, however, annoying 12 year olds who repeat every stupid thing they hear on TV add nausiem. MY life has become a living hell thanks to "I'm Rick James, bitch" and EVERYTHING ELSE on that show.   :finger:

but the whole "Keeping it real" sketch was kind of funny...Granny dont!

I've seen this show a few times and I did not laugh once . Not even a chuckle. How this kind of tripe gets on television is beyond me.

Wow. Until today, I didn't think anyone hated Chappelle's Show. I guess there's always a philistine in every crowd.

Q: "Dear Dave, why aren't you cancelled?"
A: "Because they ran out of episodes of 'Reno 911.' I'm back, bitch!"

Q: "Dear Comedy Central, how can you let such an obvious racist have a show on your network?"
A: "I'm sorry...I didn't think I was being that obvious."

This week's show was great.  The P Diddy skit was funny, but the diseased puppet penis took the cake.  How that gets by the censors I don't know, but it was funny.

The show is really hit-or-miss.  When it's bad, it's uninteresting.  When it's good, it's VERY good.

I've only seen a few episodes, but I love the "Red Balls," "I Know Black People" and "I Knocked Up Oprah" skits.  I also enjoyed the skit when Dave Chapelle talks about how he could never be on a jury when a black man was on trial.

I really don't think the show's racist though.  He just likes to poke fun at every stereotype.  It reminds me of a quote: "I don't discriminate.  I hate everyone equally."

I love the show, but I'm sure that like Lampers said, 15 year-olds across the country are repeating the catchphrases ad nauseum. Still, what concerns me about this is that they don't even know who Rick James is, and probably not Prince. Those Charlie Murphy flashbacks are great... but how can it be as funny?

Game: blouses.  :laff:

Honestly, Dave Chappelle is awesome. The Rick James episode is already infamous, and rightly so. "Fuck-yo-couch-nigga-fuck-yo-couch!" That episode where his cracked-up character talks to the school kids about not doing drugs... priceless.

I must admit that I'm not so into most of his musical guests, though. But I can avoid them just as easy as the musical guests on SNL, so whatever.

I'd like it a lot better if they got rid of the musical guest and put another skit in its place.  There's so many commercials during the show that I think this would be a better use of those final minutes.

I was excited to see last night's episode after watching the good one last week.  Too bad the episode didn't live up to my expectations.  It was literally an episode of failed skits.  What's worse is they didn't even show the entire skits.  A few funny bits here and there, but you could see why these skits were taken out.  What a let down.

Damn you Evil Lunch, I was so going to use the Breast Milk quote, I figured no one would use it.

Well anyway, I think Dave's show is awesome.  Although I do hate how everyone keeps repeating "I'm Rick James, Bitch!", now that gets annoying.

The jokes against every race concieveable are the funniest part of the show. Come on, lighten up buddy. He makes fun of white people all the time("Cut the malarkey!" ) but you don't see me with a bug up my ass about it.

Yeah, if they would've just said, "these are some crappy sketches" and then treat it like a normal episode, it wouldn't have been funny. But I liked that he was making fun of them. I actually thought the gay world and the time haters sketches were really funny and could've worked.

I heard a lot of raves about the show, and it's sad that I won't get to watch its possible MAD TV-style humor cuz I don't have cable. Maybe if I can get my hands on some transcripts...

And Chapelle doesn't make fun of just white guys, like everyone says. In fact, most of his hate mail is from black guys complaining about his black sterotypes.

Yeah, that was tastefully horrible.  But the muppet was voiced by Snoop Dogg, so it made everything okay.

It's all so horrible...yet I laugh my ass off. And as a Jewish, Polish, Caucasian Lesbian, I know I'm supposed to be offended, yet I'm not. The gay DMV thing cracked me up, as did the STD muppets, and the blind black Klansman.
Goddamn, I'm goin' to hell for loving this show.
