What movies make you laugh at other movies?

Ex:
Airplane
Spaceballs
Young Frankenstein
Austin Powers
Scary Movie
Kung Pow: Enter the Fist
Hot Shots
Not Another Teen Movie

Some of these movies I like, but what are yours?

Spaceballs is what came to mind first.

But Scary Movie was a decent parody of a parody movie...

"Get Ready to be Boyzvoiced" was damn funny at times... parodies boy bands, y'know. It's also Norweigian.

I haven't seen "This is Spinal Tap" though...  Is it better...?

The Jesus movie, it's a shameless copy and hilarious parody of part of this book called 'The Bible'.

Airplane and Airplane 2 spring to mind (although Airplane2 was the same as one but in space)

Spaceballs rocked.
Last action hero still makes me laugh.
Hotshots parts 1 & 2.
Loaded Weapon one.

Hot Shots 2 was on TV last night, I hadn't seen it in years.

Also the Naked Gun movies are fantastic. I still spot jokes that I missed before even now.

Spaceballs, Airplane 1&2, Mars Attack, the producers, Blazing Saddles and lots more. Do the Monty Python films count as parodys?

Rumors have been flying that there will be a Scary Movie 4 and this movie will parody superhero films.  Daredevil, Hulk, Spiderman, maybe even the Punisher

well I made a War Of The Worlds movie with some friends, but it is not really a parody on the movie, more like a parody on the musical version from Jeff Wayne
and that is my favourite parody movie  :p

What's scary is that there will be 4 Scary Movies! Ba-da-bump!

Seriously, are the writers of that film franchise even trying anymore? I saw the first one, was massively disappointed by it, and haven't bothered to see any of the others.

This year is going to have some interesting parody movies.  I've seen the trailers of both Date Movie and Scary Movie 4.  They both have some funny moments.

I like anything by Mel Brooks, Zucker Brothers the creators of Airplane and Naked Gun.  Kung Pow was funny, there was going to be a sequel, though.   The Scary Movie series was funny, too.

I think that would qualify more as a satire, although that movie is by far the funniest and most intelligent on this list. Everyone here seems to love incredibly blunt, obvious, IQ of 85 material that that presumes every joke must be slammed in your face.

My favorite would be Army of Darkness, with an honorable mention of Evil Dead II.

I think Spinal tap is appropriate here.  It's a genre parody of the "rockumentary."  So is Hard Core Logo, for that matter, but it has two big strikes against it in that it is unfunny and Canadian.

If you view Wild Zero as a parody of the zombie movie genre, then I'm sure Faze and Villa will agree with me that it tops the list.

And Shaun of The Dead, but that's Western compared to Whacky! Eastern, both good!

Barbarella was a kind of parody of those very early space movies... or it should be, right?

Having suffered through both the "Date Movie" and "Scary Movie 4" trailers, I now weep for humanity. It's Family Guy level humor, in that "Haw haw, I've seen something similar to that before!" mentality.

And people wonder why movie attendance is down.

I love many parody movies.  I'm a sucker for Scary Movie series, can't wait for number four.  That's for the info fryfan, I was able to see its trailer.  You just do what you love to do.  I also love Mel Brooks's films.  Spaceballs, Blazing Saddles, History of the World, Young Frankenstein, Shaun of The Dead.  If I've missed any, I'm sorry.
