I can't believe no one has mentioned Godfather 3, which by the way is NOT bad, just different.

Return of the King is way overrated, especily on IMDB.

First of all, M Jackson, Trail of the Pink Panther is not really a movie, it's more of a tribute to Peter Sellers (he died!). Anyway, the first part of the movie is awesome, enough to keep Trail of the Pink Panther off that list of yours.

I agree with the ordering of the Star Wars movies, but for Indiana Jones I think it should be:
The Last Crusade
Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Temple of Doom

That isn't really a sequal though, merely the concluding part of the trilogy, unlike many other trilogies the first two films didn't have clear endings.

I thought it lived up to the first two, particularly the extended edition, but the ending is perhaps a bit too sentimental.

Personally I'd rate the Star Wars films thus:

  • The Empire Strikes Back
  • Return of the Jedi
  • A New HopeStar Wars  :p

Return of the Jedi would be first purely for the Death Star 2 battle if not for the, as I laughed out loud on Amazon, "Care Bears go to War" section.  ;)

Yup. That I'd agree with. Temple isn't so much a bad movie and there are a couple of sequences in it I love (minecarts!) but the humour of Last Crusade and Raiders just wins out for me.

It is kind of silly how it swept the Oscars when each of the first two only won a few awards.  I think that the first two should have won in a few more categories, though (maybe not best picture, but best costumes certainly).

I agree with termos and CyberKnight about the Indiana Jones movies.  I've never tried to rate the Star Wars films, though.  I don't really see them as separate films so much as parts of the trilogy as a whole.
