Yes, the first two programmes were brilliant BUT the Third one was unfortunately the one which my friend started watching it and it put him off it for life.

just 6 in a series i think, its abit hard getting any real info on it because his website and any other information relating to him or the show is all spoofed - they just keep asking you to e mail c4 to air new episodes.
But they should be releasing the current 6 on DVD at somepoint.

Just to be pedantic, I think it's "Garth Merenghi".

It is great, though. The song that Garth sings in "Skipper The Eye Child" is just fantastic.

Oh my god I am so happy that this thread has gone back up Tweek please do not close this thread again because this comedy really lighten me up. Dean Learner really makes me laugh the most. He is a really funny character.

I watched the apes episode last night on E4. I love it when Dean Learner shouted “You a fool, you a fool.” Yeah the bike chase was really good too.

Yes I have. It was ok. I like the bit where Garth/Rick and the Scottish men just stands there looking at each other.

Yep, I watched it but I rekon its one of there best episodes except maybe the very 1st one.
I guess it was funnier because I had a mate round to watch it too, and he's scottish!

"Mist, the mist was everywhere, lots of mist but where it had came from I haven't the foggyest"

I don't tend to laugh out at any particular moments, although I find it amusing. I do laugh at the theme tune though, it's just brilliant, with the sythesisers and everything! And the old Channel 4 logo, I used to find this brilliant when I was little  :D

I did laugh at the bit where he is faceing the three scots. It is a direct rip off of the last scene in 'The Good the Bad and the Ugly', with the camera focusing in on the eyes, and the music was almost exactaly the same, exept played on bagpipes

Airwolf was a 1980's tv show about a high tech helicopter, shown on ITV years ago. It was pretty crap though, not a patch on Knight Rider or the A-Team. (Show's how old i am)

Well tonight was the first time I caught this show, which is a tad unfortunate considering it was the last episode of the series. At any rate, I found it to be okay, not great. I liked the song but I've forgotten it already. Oops.  :hmpf:

Just see it right now where Sanchez falls in love with a broccoli woman. Great scene in it like the Pop video (Dean’s rapping is cool) and the fighting scene between Sanchez and Dag. I am going to miss Darkplace so I am hoping the series 2 and a DVD will come out soon.

Chopping Sanchez's penis off at the end     :laff:

"you saved my life buddy"

That was deinately the best episode last night, especially the 80's ballad and Dean's little rap within it! It felt to me like they were showing us what potential the show has.

Just got back from work so am gonna watch it again in abit, watchout later for quotes!

if I remember!

Edit. his site if you aint seen it

only seen it a few times. The black man has to be the funniest character and when they pick up the phone and answer questions b4 they could have listened to it. I also liked,

"i decided to drive somewhere, thatswhy you can see me in the car now."

he was great in the office is the blokes real name Garth Mer- whatever?
